Your Beer of the week

Sharing a FB memory I have had today, I didn’t know this till told , maybe some of you may not know either

The top shelf in Aldi has a rack you can pull forward to get to the bottles at the back that even at 6’2” I can’t reach

As the top shelf is above eye level to most eyes, even the rack is hidden
👍

The prices are four years old before you rush out to buy 🤔😁

Yep, £1.49 for Bishops Finger, reduced to £145 to match Tesco. I got four this week. ;)

BTW, Harpers IPA (Aldi) @5.5% ABV, is a very good contender to Cornish Ales Proper Job, for those liking hoppy ales. (y)
I'm okay with them occasionally, but can't drink them one regular basis.

Cheers. :drink:

Jock. :)

Totally agree with that , didn’t get a receipt today but think I paid £1.29 for Harpers, Proper Job now up to £1.95 🙁
I'm sure it's more that that now David, but still substantially cheaper than Proper Job..........and just as nice. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

This week, Maredsous.
Anyone know this one?
Another one from Belgium 🇧🇪
Powerful, tasty, caramel, a bit fruity, strong...
Delicious, 8°
Enjoy weekend everyone.
Cheers🎃🍻

I'm not a lager drinker but this Steinhauser from Aldi has a really nice mouth feel and is very tasty. It was rated top by Simon of Real Ale Craft Beer when he tested every lager on Aldi's shelf.
£4.99 for a pack of 6 x 330ml bottles, 4.7% abv (which equates to £1.25 for 500ml bottle).

He's also tested every lager on Lidl's shelf HERE although I've not actually watched it yet.

Also picked up these Thornebridge Jaipurs in 500ml bottles from Asda, 5.9% abv.
£2 a bottle but they're on their 4 for 3 offer so work out at £1.50 a bottle.

My first introduction to Old Crafty Hen was by Jim, (dressed in a suit and a dicky bow at the time), at a New Year's Eve do organised by haganap Paul & Nikki, at Uttoxeter Racecourse.
What a great meet that was. (y)

Cheers. :drink:

Jock. :)
I bet it was a great meet after drinking the Crafty Jock. 🤣🤣🍻
