Whitby warmer.....

Thought I'd tackle the cab heater in the old bus so we could drive over to Whitby without the usual thermals, jumpers & hot water bottles.....
The nice gentleman who we bought it from had never had the heater working but as he only used it in summer he said he never bothered to sort it....
Oh dear......
I believe the molten connector I found pointed to a dead short at some point....
Probably why the fan motor was missing.....
This was probably due to the heater matrix leaking....
Which is probably why someone had disconnected the water supply and linked out the matrix......
There came a point where Whitby looked like being taken off the calendar :(
but with perseverance and plenty of cups of tea I now have the matrix out and a replacement in :)
just going through a few issues with wiring loom modifications, i.e. trace and remove what's not being used or not going anywhere, remake dodgy looking tape joints and have a tidy.
Hopefully should be arriving with big smiles and toasty feet, see ya there :)

* Important Arrival times for Whitby goth meet*

As the College has had their easter holidays the college will be open as usual on Friday
25th April, so please No arrivals before 5.30pm, we will then pitch you up in the college carpark's depending of your size of motorhome.

You will be given an information sheet on arrival which will explain on what's happening over the weekend, you can join in as much or as little as you wish, hope you have a great time.

We will be having a barrel of beer from a micro brewery in Misterton at only £1 per pint.

Sorry about the short notice but we won't be able to make this weekend. The hospital have just phoned with a cancellation for Thursday for the spinal unit - so will be otherwise occupied.
Was really looking forward to this meet - just hope we get onto the November one.
 
Motorhome woes

Not looking good on getting the motorhome running properly for the weekend, sorting the heater matrix has unearthed (quite literally) a need to sort out 23 years of user modifications.... and this is before I sort the front brakes and weeping injector!
Rather than just crossing our fingers and hoping I can get it running in time I'm going to let our place go :(
If no one else could make it I would hope I will be up running for Friday but due to work commitments it's looking slim. We would rather someone had the use the space than not :) Bob & Dee x

The astro turf incident was at west cliff school meet, this meet is at Whitby community college(see 1st thread).
Yes you can join us, dogs allowed on leads and clear up after them

I'm actually hoping to be in Whitby for this, but not with Iris. I'll be catching up with Steampunk friends. :BigGrin:
 
Just getting van ready for the off just have to wait for Lorraine to finish work. One question is there a water supply there to save me filling up before leaving.
