and the venue weekenders uses is brilliant, child friendly adult friend and pet friendly

but then we do make sure we clean up after ourselves xxxxx

Gail , the astro turf incident , wasn't a case of not clearing up after your self.
It happened , the woman actually saw it happening , it was cleared up, we were told never to darken the doorstep again
The astro had just been put down. Paid for by the PTA .
Who's member saw it happen .:Blush:
It's too small a venue for such a popular meet now anyway.

It's too small a venue for such a popular meet now anyway.

West Cliff was in a good location, ideal for leisure centre for Goth shopping and near to sea front, when they put the new astro turf down it limited the number of vans and was more awkward to park up.

Glad we were told about Whitby community college, nice hard standing, room for evening get together's, showers, toilet, elsan and only 10 mins walk to Whitby town centre, just hope the rain stay's away for April meet:thumb:

Oh and good funsters, who like to dress up!!

Yes val , the spot we have now is the best .
Lets all hope , all of Aprils showers have fallen over the past few weeks.
Nothing worse than a soggy goth. ( or steam punk )
April will be here before you know it.

Whitby w/e cost

I did say prices may change at the beginning of this thread,
Unfortunately the price per motorhome/caravan will be £11 per night (college have increased there charges this year, not bad after 2 years at same price)
Arrival time will be after 5.30pm when college closes for the weekend.
See you all in April, if you can't make it please let us know as there is still a reserve list.

Clive and I will have to drop out this weekend as we are going to sail the boat to France for three months, if anyone is around the canal area on the way to Paris in May we would love to see you. The boat is called Northern Lights. Hope next on the list Aborfun enjoys the weekend. See you in November enjoy the weekend, we will be thinking of you and be very envious.

Hi Guys

hope you had a good holiday!

Arrival no earlier than 5.30pm on the Friday, as college not on half term.

Friday evening usual a free and easy, there will be a room allocated to us (that we all help decorate)
Saturday (usually) get dressed up in goth gear if you so wish (and alot of people do) then meet up in the room for a Jacobs Table, (Val will advise us all on the times) this is where we all bring along something hot or cold to share for a buffet lunch, then afterwards we walk down into the town and join in all the regalier and see all the amazing outfits worn by others'
Take lots of photos, walk up the abbey steps, or for the more light hearted partake of a pint or two in one of the over filling public houses.
And on a time or two several of us will stay in town for an evening meal, whether it is indian, chinese or otherwise gets bashed out on the night! and there will be a further meet up back in the room at college
I am sure there will be other things on the agenda too, but that is just a potted history of previous years!
