What's the best thing you have added to your motorhome?

Voltage Sense Regulator. I don't use any 240v stuff. But the leisure battery would run out of juice after 2 days because of powering the fridge. Now a small drive charges up the leisure battery and I can go on weeks if I want without 240v

Wine rack in the bottom of the wardrobe,
but looking to update it to a self filling one when I can find one at a reasonable price

Nearing completion of the fit out of the rear storage - wouldn’t call it a ‘garage’ as due to the reduced height owing to the island bed above you’d be hard pushed to fit a couple of bicycles in there even with the front wheels removed, and then there’s no room for anything else! (We have a Thule VeloCompact on the tow ball anyway and a trailer for the motorcycles and quads).

Just waiting for some Buffalo Board to arrive for the infill above the table stowage so the BBQ scissor cart can sit on it, plus a couple of stackable Euro boxes for the other end, and then it’s pretty much done.

Nice toys 🧸 👍🌟🥃

Hi all. Self levelling. We used to use ramps but we are planning for when we are really old so got self levelling fitted.
I can’t understand why anyone would not level. The idea of living on the slant does not interest me at all. It also makes the fridge work properly and the shower drain completely.
My Dad used to say ‘Any fool can be uncomfortable!’

You have obviously not lived on a boat.

I have spent time on boats, of different sizes, but they are supposed to tilt. I remember going to bed on a port tack and forgot to strap in, when we went about I ended up on the deck as I fell off my bunk. Showers at 30 degrees of tilt are fun too, but in a MoHo, I want things square.

Low wattage heated towel rail in the bathroom , excellent .

Ah, but there is an advantage to having a slight slope downwards towards the rear ... when our Bella wants to play ball (which she does a lot!) she'll drop it at the front end and we don't have to throw it down the other ends as it just rolls there on it's own! :giggle:

Definitely the self levelling system and step to the passenger door. Mr Ginam said the self levelling was too much money and a waste of time till I offered to pay for it and then it was a brilliant idea:rofl:
Ooh step to the passenger door, sounds very helpful( any other info, was it a bought purchase ?) :giggle:

when wild camping in Italy along with a few others I went for a stroll and came across a passenger door step I thought I'm having that and placed it by my Hab door, about an hour later an italian moho came slowily cruising by, turned round and came back and stopped I got out and sheepishly handed it back.

I have just fitted one to the passenger door on my B578. I bought the Thule one on recommendation of Lenny B, various prices from £249 upwards but you may get a better deal at certain times. I just bought the step and sorted out the bits to fit it separately.
My thread is on here. If you need any help just shout.

Getting a tow bar fitted before it gets to me. Not really sure why, except that all previous vehicles I’ve had, including Land Rovers, have had tow bars of varying types and weights, front and back. Useful to tow-me out if I get stuck I suppose. Was always towing other people off beaches down here years ago.

Tow bars are very good ‘reversing aids’ and ‘keep back you stupid tail gaiter’ helpers too. Motorhomes are so vulnerable, even a tiny knock can be expensive. We too always have that bar of steel.

You mean those old chemists that had the giant bottles of blue stuff in the window and a pestle and mortar on the counter? :giggle:
Strangely enough that's precisely what happened when we went to a chemist in Devon. The chemist knocked it up while we waited. He had a good look at sons skin first (excema). However, this was 15 years ago. Still a shock then.

The best improvements so far has been to fit an MPPT solar controller, matching leisure batteries and improve the wiring .
Having a 130 watt solar panel and a second leisure battery fitted when we bought the motorhome sounded a good selling point until we found the mis matched batteries, cheap controler and shoe string wiring.

Sounds like Love Potion Number Nine.
