What reaaaally bugs you about your motorhome?

The water heater electric switch right where the table slots in for storage.

I think Michael sorted that out on his Mark;)
I did sort it by turning the radio up 😂😂
Drove me mad, had it once before but it went after one short trip.
Think it may be something to do with when it’s very windy as it does make the drivers side wobble a lot, passenger side is sound?

What bugs me is that we have just sold it and have to wait until August 22 for the next one to be delivered 😢

 ... you're kidding surely!!! There's no way I could wait that long for a new one even if I still had one!

When the van arrived there were three sockets mounted vertically in the kitchen (from bottom to top) Light Switch - USB Socket - 13 Amp Socket. What's wrong with that? When you plug the kettle in the cable hangs down covering the other two sockets!
Solution Turn them round so the 13A socket is at the bottom and the light switch at the top. 10 minute job why couldn't they have done that in the factory!!!

On our Chausson they put a 13amp plug behind the Driver's seat so when you swivelled the seat it hit the plug , I resolved by moving it 2 inches !! I still think the French have a grudge against Brits:unsure::unsure:

 Mice!!!! When the van is in storage, not a fault of the van...but ooooh

Last year I put some bait inside in a couple of places, but, also under the bonnet.

Inside was never touched ( Thankfully ) but on the bonnet every time, so, purchased a battery operated device and had no issue since

Yes we too always put one in the bonnet, also copper spray was advised to spray on the fuel pipe, so far, it's our 3rd winter, thankfully storage on a farm! I know worst place..but only 10 mins walk, so we can access at any time.(y)

Why not affix something to the rear of the bike rack so that the window when opened 'hits' it and thus cannot be opened past the first latching point, you'd still need to wedge it open but at least wouldn't run the risk of pushing it too far out. Alternatively see if you can replace the existing arms with the ones with knobs on that you can tighten at whatever opening distance you wish with no 'latches' to worry about.
Add a couple/ few Neo magnets to window/ and rack and no need for Wedges or stays. (glue or screw)??

The dash is mostly unreadable unless the lights are on-Fiat Ducato based Hymer Exsis…….

Problem is that even if you keep it open with magnets on the rack with the type of 'arm' it has it will be too far out to be able to get it back in again.

I was working on your suggestion that it doesn't open so far as the first "latching" position so it doesn't have to go further (which it can't without dismantling), so maybe small block of wood, covered with felt / carpet / what have you, but magnet to hold window against said block?

Ah, I see, I thought you meant to put the magnets on the rack itself.

The newer the MH the poorer the build quality. Just changed a 2016 for a 2019, no comparison, the quality of the 2016 far exceeds the 2019.

Adria was taken over in 2017.

I'm not convinced all brands are going backwards.

We replaced ours - used stiff card to try different sizes/shapes. Sent the agreed dimensions to a company that laminated it to a sample we previously decided on as an off cut rather than have to buy a whole sheet. Under £50 and looks great.
Hi pandas would you recommended the company that produced your table top and do you have their web address? Many thanks

Something else that’s a daft idea in our Rienza. It’s a rear lounge layout so you obviously need power outlet’s at the rear. There’s one 12 volt and one mains socket in the TV cupboard at ceiling hight. The other mains sockets are one at floor level behind the drivers seat and one half way up the end of the cooker behind the passenger seat.

That is a generalisation based on which motorhome builder(s)?

It is quite within a competent DIY job to add a socket at a convenient position and of the same style as the originals.

My 2009 Euramobil Terrestra external grey mouldings are showing their age becoming more brittle and are proving troublesome to avoid minor damage. Other than that I cannot fault the build quality internally or the layout. The13 Amp sockets are underneath the high level cupboard apart from one below the lower lockers. I have just installed an identical socket but from the inverter only. The 12volt outlets are part of the higher sockets. As an aside, my Burstenr caravan which was previous tot eh motorhome had a Hella 12 volt socket which hold the plug in much more securely compared with the car lighter style

I covered my Burstner caravan table top with a piece of Formica having thoroughly sanded the top to grip the adhesive. This was after a tin fell out of a high level cupboard which had iffy catches. Apart from the pattern you would not have known it had been repaired.

The way my leisure battery drains after just 1 day of standing. Could never figure out why this happens. I disconnect the leisure battery now during any standing period and it holds it's charge perfectly for several weeks.
