What reaaaally bugs you about your motorhome?

That it sits on the driveway most of the time because I'm working and when I'm not it's rubbish weather :(
You could do what we did. Work out how many luxury lodge and cruise holidays you could have with the money you've invested. For us, £90 k = a no brainer. Just got back from our first cruise - brilliant.

And nothing to show for afterwards. Buying the motorhome, will let you have the holidays and something after it with a value. But we all see things differently.

Lynne Roy Eh? How strange - Our T7 has 3 mains sockets along the kitchen / lounge side under the lockers - each with 2 x usbs next to each. There also a mains and 2 usbs in the bedroom. Both the toilet and shower skylights are permanent vents but also push up to open further and can be tilted to catch the wind to increase flow. And the shower light switch is next to the toilet one in the loo.
We no longer have the T7 and it’s pretty hard to beat

What bugs me most is our now 10 year old Autosleeper is it has been so good I can't justify updating it to SWMBO.
Does exactly what it says on the tin and is uber comfortable with heated cab seats on Merc auto and custom made memory foam in habitation area
Maybe I am just lucky!!!

Our last van had a heated waste water tank. All well and good, but someone - in their infinite wisdom - put the switch at foot level under the table.

Firstly, we kicked it on without realising it, but we also couldn't tell because we couldn't bl∞dy see it! Clever.

What annoys you about your van? :giggle:

The cost of van spares. A new fridge has just cost me £2500 because Dometic stopped making spares for it after 10 years. ( it’s hardly been used).Rapido wanted £349 for a bathroom door lock! The customer doesn't come first with Moho manufacturers!

Not read the 167 posts before this but what annoys me is NOT having one:cry:
Almost as bad as having one constantly in the garage!! At least you can find a good un!!

Yes, we know what you mean about rattles. We also have an Elddis. My main gripe is the badly designed bathroom, and in particular the stupid fancy sink. Our bathroom area is what you might term compact and bijou. But why do they put fancy sinks in there, which you constantly have to try and dry splashes around the back of it, which is almost impossible to reach. Just to clarify, the sink is raised and sits on top of the storage cupboard. I’m sure whoever designs the bathroom, never stays in a Motorhome. There’s very little space around the sink, it would have been better to raise the cupboard below and recess the sink.

The groan/ rattle on drivers side of the pull down bed, doesn’t matter how I pack it, it still there when going over average roads!

We had the same issue but on the passenger side of the bed, hubby put some rubber sleeve on the 'pins' and adjusted the catches, no rattle now.

Poor quality control at the manufacturer’s end, on taking delivery electric front blind not working, leak through wrong length screws used on a roof component and a few other things.
Plus poor spec on materials and finishes - most chrome handles to the cupboards flaking, fabric Roman blinds not fit for purpose, grp external paintwork fading (mentioned before). Things failing just outside of warranty when you would not expect them to fail. Oh yes a Hymer.

No sun blinds as such. The roll down windscreen blind is supposed to take the place of sun blinds. It can be set to only roll down about 12" but that's not low enough.. there doesn't seem to be anywhere to fasten a conventional sunblind.

We have the usual type vehicle sun blinds built into the underside of the bed which we can adjust as required, this is in addition to the windscreen blind, do you have a drop down bed?

The plug for emptying the fresh water long strtch under the bed to reach it and even harder to replace the dam thing no thought from the manufacturer.

The brakes (sinking pedal) on my 2020 diesel automatic Ducato - known fault due to the vacuum pump fitted not liking constant pressure on the foot pedal. Great fun when you are on a hill in stop go traffic and you feel the pedal start its way towards the boards. Now, if the hand brake was just a little higher and easier to reach.....

Rapido DF8094 a couple of things
The blinds in the rear of the vehical 2 are flat and 1 is folded like a fan
Handbreak, struggle to put it on and off.
screw heads in the front some are covered with screw caps but some are not.?

Leisure battery under driver seat, habitation Door catching the wind closing on the fly screen, cab table too big, lack of insulation.

Creaking wing mirror☹️☹️
Just done 2.5k miles and on the last 250 it was windy and the drivers side mirror is creaking and driving me mad🤬🤬
Will have to have a look at the mounts and see if I can maybe put some rubber in between.

Tried to teach him but... Max can't drive himself while I'm sleeping.... Anyone knows a good book for him to learn??😜😜

The water, grey and black waste level indicators on our Winnebago are not very accurate. I've tried flushing, driving with a small amount of water, etc but to no avail.

What was a fixed table in the front area who ever designed it wants a thick ear ;)

Burstner not letting me have a wiring diagram! Which is more dangerous, following a chart or just connecting anywhere and hoping? Madness.
