Resealed the bathroom roof light.
Give it a bath and two new tyres for the back end. Hankook RA-18. £63 a piece. 8 ply XL and m+s. Bargain.

Took the grey waste tank off as the support frame was badly rusted and an advisory on the last MOT

Ground it all off and sprayed it with a few coats of hammerite. Just got to put it all back together now

Whilst I am waiting for cable ect to,tidy up the wiring for the solar controller and the second leisure battery I found a suitable mounting board to fasten things to. The RCD has gone on for a start. Not a lot but I had other domestic tasks that have been put off for months.

Not a fix but I just prefer one over the other (y) (excuse the mess)

So you turned your fiat into a citreon, or the other way round?

How hard was it to do. Need to take ours off one day to paint as full of stone chips

Very quick n easy. Four torx screw along the top then two screw out fasteners at the bottom facing upwards. all accessible from the front then just lift straight upwards. they're are a few fragile plastic clips that may break. but as I had a second hand grill complete with them for £65 it wasn't an issue.

Our Thule step decided that it had enough of my 17 stone frame, so parted company with one of it's mounting bolts when I stepped on it.
Hammered it back into shape and welded it back together with the addition of 6mm flat bar welded to both sides of the original mountings to beef it up a bit.

I just need the earth cable from the solar controller to the battery and the poss battery to battery, on order. The second circuit breaker has arrived and it’s fitted to the board.
Whilst I am tidying things I noticed the leads from the solar panel to the controller are both black so I have put a piece of red heat shrink on the poss.
It’s looking a lot more professional and tidy under the passenger seat. The battery is secured with a strap. The rats nest under the drivers seat will have to do for now. I have already had problems with the fridge relay wiring.
Hopefully the seat can go back in next week for the last time.

I have tried a few different ways of holding drinks bottles in the cab of our motorhome in the past with mixed success, but when we went all eco, changing over to large refillable sports type drinks bottle, the only place for them was in the lower door pocket which is almost out of reach, so I made a pair of drinks bottle holder from Perspex that hang on the upper door pocket.

Installed a fused USB point above bed area for phone charging. Very happy with appearance. And it works.!!!

Re-wired the electrics for the towing socket after I mullered it when reversing back into an unseen rock in storage area

That is pretty much what I said when I did it. It was the only rock in the grass bank at the back end of the storage space. A few cm to the right and the tow bar would have nudged it. Was a tiny bit peeved and not a little embarrassed

Just got home from the bus , it's now a runner . Basically opened the van up , and gave it some air , fit the batteries , and get it running . Started instantly as usual , circulated the oil and warmed the motor . All the electrics checked , inside and out , no problems , and tried something new . Cleaned the wiper blades with coke , following some guy promoting cleaning them with wd40 . Now call me old fashioned , but a windscreen is the last place ya want oil , but i can see his point . It certainly lifted the dirt , only time will tell if they scape , or not .

Not an original idea but rather than storing our dirty clothes in a bag in the shower tray, which over the course of a week or 2 gets quite large and a pain to move, I liked the idea of a laundry chute so fitted this today. Pop your clothes through into the garage where they fall into a bag or box!
