What are you up to this weekend?

we are moving into our new to us, house in wales, for a new chapter in life having taken early retirement, only sad thing is we had to sell the van, as we wouldn't have used it, but we are surrounded by wonderful scenery and we are near family and friends, have to start learning how to start proper fires now no gas for us, and our own water/sewage supply, and learn to chill and take life more slowly.

Hi @kalamitty,
That's exactly what we did when we moved from Hampshire to Cornwall 25 years ago.
Thought that we wouldn't use the caravan so everything went, Bessacarr caravan, big Volvo tow car and all the equipment associated with caravanning.
We quickly realised that, although we were living in a lovely place, we missed the touring, so we went back to it.
Even now, lots of our trips away are very local, for example this weekend we will be at Perranporth, which is only about 10 miles from home. But it'll be much better than being at home.
We hope you'll be very happy in your new home and don't regret selling the motorhome.
Stef and Di.

Hopefully going to meet or pick up a little terrier who needs to be rehomed,
we lost ours the one in the avatar in July. Our cat also died at the beginning of September so we feel we can now bring new dog into house.

We are going to Betws-y-Coed, looking forward to some good walking country around Snowdon.

well the dreaded time has come when we have to catch the ferry home on Saterday :crying:after a month in France and Spain, had a great time(y):party2:. Roll on next year when we hope to be off again, not sure where yet. Hope all you funsters wherever you may be and whatever you may be doing have a great weekend:clap2:.

Wings clipped at moment, daughters new baby due 4 th Nov, mustn't go far because Grandson staying with us while mum in hospital.
Midwife has told her to get straight in at first signs of labour which is nice. Last time they sent her home but shouldn't have, when she went back an hour and a half later she was rushed straight to delivery and everything went pear shaped with 16 people in room.
Will be very relieved if baby can be safely delivered with few complications.
Bonus after that will be that she will be on Maternity leave for a few months, so I dare say we can manage a winter escape or two.:)

Out for a meal on Saturday evening, me, my partner and eight other females. Must leave my cards at home. I'm not too proud to have a woman buy me lunch....:)

Same as others, won't make a decision until probably Thursday evening as forecast still looking pretty iffy!

If we do go away it will have to be hard standing as don't like muddy fields after the rain!
