Pen hale touring park near Fowey from Thursday to Sunday. It's only a few miles from home but we haven't been to this one. Two reasons for going:

I was playing golf at Porthpean and could see Polkerris beach across the bay, bathed in sun and it looked very inviting.
A friend recommended the nearby restaurant, Sam's On The Beach, so we have booked a table for Friday evening.
And finally, who needs an excuse to go off in the van?
(OK I can't count, that's three)

Off to the Ayrshire Real Ale Festival today, hoping to sample a collection of bitters, IPA's and stouts. Back Sunday, hopefully.

We're at home this weekend, got a call on Monday night from the in-laws to say they are coming to visit. We don't know how long for. They have their own MH so bring the spare room with them.

Well at long last we can go out in the van. It's just over four weeks since surgery and good recovery so we are heading for Yorkshire and then maybe a trip down to Kent. Fingers crossed for the weather.

In a car park in Weymouth ready for the Weymouth Beach Race. Definitely worth a visit, all for charity and no entry fee....unlike the Weston beach race!!!!! 100 motocross bikes all heading for the same first corner....brilliant entertainment for everyone. My father and two of his friends run the event alongside the Weymouth Lions and my daughter is racing this year so I have a vested interest, but it is a great day out.

We're away with the Song, Dance & Folk Group at Brogdale, Faversham. Not far from home but should be a good weekend. Quite enjoy the country dancing - been away with this group a few times this year. Taking the scooter with us so we can get into Faversham during the day on Saturday.

Just decided this afternoon to head up to Cheshire and stay with MIL. Alan wants one last chance to see Vulcan flying, so we will be at Woodford on Saturday. Very special for him as he did his apprenticeship there in the A ro days, and worked at flight sheds on Vulcans although not this one. We also believe that his father signed off every Vulcan delivered to the RAF when he was at Avro. Depending on timings we may also be lucky enought to spot her as we head back down the M5 on Sunday.

Off to a posh "do" on Saturday night then hurtling down to Portsmouth for Sunday night's ferry to Bilbao.:D Arrive Tuesday morning - that's if the bad weather doesn't affect us! Fingers, toes and eyes crossed!!!!!
Have a safe journey, maybe see you at the end of the year.

Bit like my cousin who was in the RAF and worked on Nimrods.
We were watching a tv programme about Nimrods and he would say "I've worked on that one" every time one appeared on the screen.
After a few minutes he said " What am I talking about ? I've worked on every one of them !"
