What are you up to this weekend?

I will be busy worrying all weekend as I have just dropped my baby(19) at the station for his trip to Bestival! To enhance my worrying experience middle child will be flying back from Newark after 3 months in America, hopefully he will let me know which flight before I leave for Heathrow on Sunday morning.

Thanks. I don't think she will pass.

She has maths "issues":D
Have positive thoughts going in that should build her confidence. She is a young woman she can do anything she wants. (y)

I have been telling her all year that it doesn't matter if she passes or not.

She is fantastic at some things and scores 90% plus in tests but its the maths questions that completely throw her and then she goes into panic mode.

She will be fine though whatever happens.

I am biased of course but she is the nicest person I have ever met.

My two found that the actual 11+ test was not as bad as the practice papers. They both passed and did well at grammar school and I hope Lucy does too.

I will be looking out of the window at our motorhome and looking forward to the time we can go out in it again. Following surgery this week I have been told not to drive for two or three weeks. (Until I can do an emergency stop, but how will I know unless I am driving?) I will take notice of the hospital of course and be thankful that they have a good "plumbing" department. The NHS and the Great Western Hospital in Swindon are just wonderful IMO.

Same for us too! Getting really excited now. Where are you heading for? We're going to drive straight down south from Calais. We'll explore the coast then cross over and get the ferry back from Bilbao. We have a month so hopefully that'll be long enough!

getting the 5pm shuttle on Monday, then just a quick couple of days over to La Rochelle and back on Thursday, dip our toe in the water see what we think kind of thing, Le Man is on the stop list, other than that wherever the time allows us to see.
quite looking forward to it, could do with staying longer but business and work gets in the way at the moment!

enjoy your trip :-)

We're off tomorrow evening.. we were going to go via le mans and la Rochelle. . But the weather forecast has diverted us across towards Troyes instead where it should be warmer with less rain.

we're going to Loton Park speed hillclimb where I am marshalling for the Vintage Sports Car Club annual visit. Lots of crazy and ridiculous cars being driven at mental speeds by a bunch of utter hooligans plus a hog roast and real ale bar on Saturday evening, what's not to like?

:-) :-) D.

Hi.
Going to Restaurante Quinta Conchada, for a send off party/meal,for 666,the,Grandson. He is coming back to England for a job interview,(As i say often,"There is a God!"). Old age does have its uses, one of my old ties,NO,NOT the Slim Jims!! has been pressed into service yet again and will be around his kneck,(Not as tight as i would have tied it!!).
I wish him every success......... Well i would, wouldn't i,my happiness will be unbounded LOL!
Tea Bag.
PS. "This town aint' big enough for both of us ..." There is an element of truth in that saying....LOL
PPS. It does NOT help that he is young!! LOL.

Received motorhome back today
So we are going to test everything out this weekend, make sure nothing is leaking.
Fingers crossed all is well

Heading to Portsoy around lunchtime. Weather forecast is good which is great for the cliff top walk to Sandend and back. Hopefully we will get one of the front pitches looking out across the North Sea.

Richard, hope it's not too long before you are able to drive. The surgery you had sounds a lot more than I had but fingers crossed for you for next week, and thanks for your good wishes - think I will be OK in a couple of weeks as I seem to be making good progress.

Cheers

Dave

Nice picture from Salamanca. The cheapest diesel I have seen was in Salamanca a couple of weeks ago at .87euro a litre I missed it and paid 1.04 euro, still cheap.
We are in Almerimar now with warm sea and blue sky.... what shall we do tomorrow? Too much choice to decide!

Darn we missed that ..the cheapest we seen was .96euro a litre..guess we were thinking of beeno teento time lolol

Tomorrow I'm getting my Dometic RMD8505 repaired.
Sunday I'm removing a Dometic 2200 aircon and replacing it with a Fiamma fan, hopefully in the Sunshine

Tomorrow we meet the newest member of our family! Can't wait to bring him home to meet all his new brothers and sister! Yay! Thank you @Jim !
