We are off to Ambleside Rugby club a C & CC weekend rally, last year was good with enertainment in the club house on the Saterday night and of course a nice area to visit. Pete

Setting off for France when hubby finished work on Friday lunchtime. Friday night down south, tunnel on Saturday then down to the Pyrenees for a couple of tour stages then meander back up via the Millau Viaduct and Mount Venteux.

Hopefully not too ambitious after only 2 nights in the MH!

Hopefully be ok.

2 years ago (with a tent) we set off from Folkestone on the Friday morning and drove all the way down to the Pyrenees that day, arrived at 2.30am and put up tent on top of a mountain in pitch black, woke up to stunning mountain scenery. Watched Saturday stage, moved tent to route of Sunday stage, slept then watched Sunday stage and then set off mid afternoon Sunday and drove to Calais. Collapsed at midnight in motel in Calais, got up Monday morning, tunnel back over and drove back to St Helens. Back in work Tuesday although completely knackered.

Hopefully our 11 day trip without erecting tents etc will feel like a leisurely amble compared!

Jen

Heading south looking for warmer weather. Everywhere must be warmer than here.
