What are you up to this weekend?

Off to the Suzuki Katana (it's a motorbike) owners club AGM - informal meeting, meal in the local curry house then off to watch a rock-covers band in the pub across the road from the hotel for the rest of the night (and some of Sunday morning).
It's definitely a motorbike and a great one at that. I bought the GSX1100s when they were first available 1982ish.
Unfortunately I don't have a photo of mine but just like this....

I have previously owned GSX1100S, GSX750S, GS550M, GSX400S and GSX250S (x3) Katanas.
I currently have 2 x GS650G Katanas - a 1981 GX and a 1982 GZ and am negotiating on the purchase of a 3rd.
I like Katanas, I do.
My 1981 650GX in Holland earlier this year, en route to the EuroKat meeting.

What !!!

Motorbikes, curry and rock music !!!

Are you sure that you haven’t died and gone to heaven?

Heading off to Moreton in Marsh tomorrow to visit some NT houses, then Oxford for a day visit on way to Henley on Thames for rest of the week away. Catching up with camping friends, shopping and visiting family at the weekend. Looking forward to the time away in the van 😊

Do the Dutch have a reputation for watching TV? It amused us that so many motorhomers chose to stay inside and watch TV rather than socialise at what was a very entertaining event.
Its not much about how much TV they watch, as I don’t know, but from my observations almost everyone has a sat dish and they often arrive, choose a pitch, set up the sat dish and I see it whirling around. If they’re not happy with signal they move it a short distance or change pitch. I don’t have one, almost don’t watch TV abroad, so I find it amusing 😜 They have other common traits too and we like camping with them 😜

I’ve spent a lot of time in Aotearoa back in the 70’s with the ships but never got to Nelson. Beautiful country 😊

51 years today i got caught with no parole.
So as a punishment i'm taking her for a nice meal tonight.

Won't be as daft as last years at The Fat Duck.

It's nice when we get wiser as we get older.

For half what you paid last year, I can do you an outdoor BBQ with all the trimmings and the scenery will be better! 😄

Sorry to late.
We just had Fish Chips and Mushys in Kostas Matlock Bath.
Dinner booked in a daft hotel restaurant for 7pm.

I reckon it must be time for a return visit to the Land of the Long White Cloud, and this time get yourself to Sunny Nelson.🙃 (The emoji is because I’m upside down, of course)

Off to the ship inn at sewerby, they have a few motorhome parking spots behind the pub just above the beach.
So a pie and a pint with a dog walk or 2 thrown in.

Having not been in the van for 2 months due to partial amputation of 2 fingers, in a work place accident, I'm taking the van for it's MOT on Saturday. Then spending the night at weltrough farm in Cheshire. Then it's off to give the van a good scrub.

Took Billy to the compound after it's major service.
Flicked the yellow lever up near the boiler. Made sure the fresh water and gray tanks were empty. That's it, winterised. See you end of Feb Billy, have a nice festive season.............we will be in the sun.

Collecting our motorhome from the Approved Workshop who have had it for the last month trying to fix a major electrical problem. Hope it’s OK this time as this is the third time they have released it as “fixed”.

Tomorrow we fly to Gran Canaria for a week. Got so fed up with having no motorhome and the cold weather we decided to look for sun. A quick scan of the available holidays, flying from Cardiff, saved the day last Thursday so booked it immediately.
