What are you up to this weekend?

Went down beach yesterday and had lovely walk with friend

Sat at home today watching storm out of the windows.

Think I'll have another cup of tea

Sat in my bum watching various recommendations on the tv whilst hubby is at Weymouth beach helping with the beach race. Mulling over where to take the motorhome next year. 😊

Slumming it in a hotel this weekend, courtesy of a Secret Escapes deal. Next weekend we’re staying at the lovely adults only campsite that is Back of Beyond. And they have a band on at Monty’s Bar, so a short stagger home 😉

Hoping to “restock” our motorhome after repairs at an Approved Workshop.

“Hoping” as they returned it once and the major fault recurred within 10 minutes. I suspect they simply treated the symptoms without finding the cause, first time around.🤬

It has proved expensive for them to replace the damage caused by the recurrence so I “hope” that they have learned their lesson and corrected it this time!

Well, we got it back with the fault repaired. Unfortunately a new fault appeared as we drove the vehicle back home.

I feel that they have either caused this one during their investigation or missed it altogether in their PDI testing.

Anyway, it is going back for a third time. I have already put in writing that I am “disappointed” in order to prepare a paper trail just in case I need it.

After their first failure they were gracious and helpful.

Now to see how they handle it this time.

Just packed the rucksacks on wheels, known as drag packing. We are off to New Dehli tomorrow for five weeks in India. Golden Triangle (ish) then down to the Andaman and Nicobar islands for a bit of beach time, where hopefully the monsoon will have more or less finished. We’ve splashed the cash and gone for a New Dehli hotel at £18 per night. We always said we would never go back to India, but here we go again.

Driving our little hired camper van from Fox Glacier to Murchison, en-route to Nelson / Abel Tasman National Park on New Zealand's South Island 😁

3 nights at Greenhills near Bakewell from Saturday.
Going to get some tarts whilst there:whistle:

If your not in any hurry, catch the 11.15hrs Number 172 bus from Darley Dale (should be easy parking and, if you have time, I didn't 😢, and into engines, there's the Whitworth, he of the thread, Museum and Cafe there) to Bakewell.

Normal buses take about 15minutes BUT, this one goes up hill and down dale calling in at, what seems like, every village in the area, and takes about 50 minutes.

I caught it by mistake while staying a CCC THS there last summer, it was wonderful in the sunshine but should be again now with the Autumn tree colours.

Personally, I would hesitate to take my PVC some of the places that bus went but the driver did it superbly! 👍

PS. It's Bakewell PUDDINGS and I hope your rich? 😄

Off to the Suzuki Katana (it's a motorbike) owners club AGM - informal meeting, meal in the local curry house then off to watch a rock-covers band in the pub across the road from the hotel for the rest of the night (and some of Sunday morning).
