What are you up to this weekend?

I'm working Saturday . Ralph will , yes you've guessed , be hard at it in Pug. We are both missing getting away on our weekend Motorhome trips. We've not been away in our old one, since the new year at Moffat.

more of this lark for me I'm afraid. Any chance you could pop by in 'Ol Blue" Old Mo and get me the Hell outta here?

Catching the train after work tomorrow and heading down towards Arromanches, will find an Aire to stay at tomorrow night. We're thinking of going to Bayeux as well and then back on the train on Monday evening. Hopefully do some eating, drinking, reading & relaxing, the forecast isn't great but hey, we'll be away.

Due to commitments we hadn't planned going away, things have now changed so we're off to Biggar only about 40 miles away but a lovely little town and everytime we drive through it we always say what a nice place for the weekend so finally going.

Mostly working on the van - even have a plan (y)
  • replace dashboard speakers (old already removed, along with head unit)
  • install wiring and fit underseat subwoofer
  • install solar controller and connect to electroblok
Then, depending on weather
  • wash van roof
  • measure /cut hole in roof for cable entry box
  • sika cable entry box, then use open sika to glue feet to solar panel (all done on Friday hopefully)
  • thread solar cables and reversing camera cable from roof into the van
  • route cabling through the van, connect to solar controller, connect to reversing monitor (fitted last weekend)
  • mount solar panel and reversing camera (have spare sika in case tube dries / runs out)
  • fit fuses and congratulate myself :)
  • install new head unit, find something bass heavy and upset the neighbours  (all done on Saturday hopefully)
  • inspect roof works
  • clean awning and order replacement end caps
  • lounge on sofa, eat chocolate, make some playlists for in the van (that's it for Sunday)
  • Wash, polish and wax the van ( gotta be a day's work!)
Hopefully a few hours in there for cursing, head scratching, more cursing, referencing Google / fun, coffee and inevitable shouting at the kids !

Can't wait !! Might even take a few pics and post a thread if all goes well

Bath marina campsite then monday a night at the seaside.

Meeting up with 2 other MH's at Port Ban. Never been before but looks good. http://www.portban.com/

We are showing a family around our MH on Friday. I'm working Saturday and Monday. Ralph will be working on Pug. Infact he has booked all next week off work. So he can really get cracking on with him.
View attachment 58214 Not away in the MH but having fun at Glenmore with the family as up at timeshare
What a lovely picture by the way !

Off to Washbrook Farm cs site on the Tissington trail near Ashbourne for five nights.

We're on a junior rugby tour to sunny cold, wet, windy, probably snowy, Clacton on Sea. We're playing at Colchester and Maldon so if anyone lives in any of these areas the 400 noisy people in blue hoodies will be us. You have my sincere apologies in advance (y)

That's not a typo. It really is about 400 of us. Every age group from U6 right up to U16.

We travelled down to Trevaylor campsite near St Just in Cornwall, left early and arrived circa midday. First use since winter drain down, seems like somebody (clue: not I) overfilled the cupboard beneath sink, or was a bit over enthusiastic in their packing, and knocked the waste pipe off. Suffice to say water peeing everywhere in under sink cupboard when filling boiler/bleeding system through. All sorted now though, perhaps time to meander to the local and indulge in some local ale! :)

We were there couple of years ago, if memory serves me well, The Queens Arms kept a good pint., Its a nice walk along to the NT site along the coast, an old tin mine.

Thanks for the tip, bit late now, as I've only just read your reply !

As it turns out, I cracked on with it, got impatient and threaded the cable about an hour after sticking the gland - wasn't too bad, even with 6mm cable.

All going great (bar the rain that arrived later), managed to thread and tidy the cables through to the cab . All being well, will fix the panel tomorrow and hopefully have lift off.
