What are you up to this weekend?

Today I shall be be mainly trying to work out how to make up the dinette double bed in preparation for our impending ski trip. Better get the book out I suppose !!!! This will be the first time we have had 5 adults in the van......thank goodness the campsite has storage and a boot room.

Called in and spent the night at Alvor... and I mean SPENT... Cost me €4.50!

The reason was because John and Ann were here.

John kindly crawled up the the Hymer (He has a 1985 550) and adjusted the vacuum assist gear change modulator so now my Classic Hymer 660S moves up and down the gears as smoothly as a baby's bottom.

Now I return to the Praia da Rocha Marina park up (more expense at €2.50 per night) to hang out a little with Funsters and friends, and visit the laundrette.

Of course first I will "empty and fill up" completely in order to get my €4.50's worth.

Beautifully warm and sunny here...

JJ

I'm couched on the sofa. Watching TV and surfing the net on my ipad. Waiting for the meat to cook.
Ralphs in Pug. He's put all the windows , roof lights, and cut all the holes he needed to for gas and toilet etc now. So he's got the van right down the drive and hes putting the ceiling up. We went for a drive in him this morning. To keep the battery ok , as he's going to be parked up a while now. While the furniture is put in. It was great. We can't wait to get camping !

Home this weekend, Alan & I are both working tomorrow. Oh well I suppose I could do some housework ::bigsmile:

Incredible India?
We're heading off today on a 3 week tour of northern India, in search of Palaces, forts, narow gauge railways and big cats!
Looking forward to seeing the sun rising over the Taj Mahal As well as taking in a spot of Elephant polo.
Hopefully the adventure of a lifetime

New series I watched last night on Indian railways, last nights was the rail between Kolkata and Bangladesh. Really interesting series. Enjoy your trip....

Sporty weekend I will be watching rugby on telly on Saturday and on Sunday watching daughter playing ladies premier league footie. She has just started back after few years of injuries and work commitments and their first game is against top team full of Scottish internationalists and Julie Fleeting. I'm expecting a injury.:(

first time our sons (George 19 and Harry 18) are staying in the van with us. Up to North wales.

We are picking George up from Aberystwyth uni later, driving to a Britstop pub, I've booked us in for supper and their quiz:Eeek:

Then tomorrow the boys are doing Titan zip wire and bounce below (trampolines in a mine). Whilst we hopefully watch the rugby. Walk on Snowdonia Sunday.

Getting the van serviced, hab check etc and a lot of gardening.

I cut a load of branches off a tree last Sunday and couldn't be bothered to clear them up. Now they are staring at me and my wife keeps saying what a state the garden is in.

If I am lucky we will get plenty of rain(y)

Keep a look out for updates on this weekend in my new Blog..

Told a friend yesterday I've got a new blog, she said but you've already got 3 bathrooms what do you need another bog for?

Reminds me of my ex mother in law being taken to McDonalds by my son a few years back.

" What would you like Nan?"

" Oh, I think I will try one of those free wifi's"

:D

Currently sat in the van ( heater on ) in the middle of a bloody great field full of mad people racing motocross ...... And I wouldn't have it any other way. This is my 33rd year of being involved with the sport and the sound of a nifty two stroke still makes me smile. Although I must say I prefer being in my cosy van; spent many years with just a car and trailer !!!!!

Stayed in Brighton with friends Friday night, fantastic Italian meal on sea front, not cheap but so good! Up early Saturday viewing property in nearbye Worthing for our retirement move. Also found the wild camping spot I had read about on coast road towards Ferring. About 6 vans parked up next to beach, no houses behind so not blocking anyone's views, seems to be tolerated. Next time we will bring van and cycle around for viewings :)

Out for a meal at one of our local Thai restaurants after work with some workmates to celebrate my 50th birthday  on Sunday

Tomorrow morning we'll pack the MH and join an East Kent DA rally at Rhodes Minnis near Canterbury, just for 1 night but we'll be away :D. Forecast not great but who cares

It has started today, buying all new bedding for the new MoHo, she's even looking at that Bleedin' expensive vacuum cleaner you've all been on about that you use in the house and the MoHo.

This forum is costing me some serious money.......can I have a sub Jim?

Had hoped to be there too but some stupid foreign lorry driver was too far over on the road and hit our mirror so had to return home. Need to get it fixed before we can get out again.

We are with Chase DA at Knighton, our first run out since New Year. Thought it would be a good idea to get the new dog used to the Motohome.

That's a shame. Did the lorry stop? Will it take long to replace it?
