We are off to the Kop hill climb at Princes Risborough Buckinghamshire this weekend with my mate and we will be running his 1918 Bianchi type 16 up the hill if it holds together.

My weekend started early at 1430 today, nice relaxing (exaggeration) loaded SWMBO car with no 1 daughters stuff for uni. Tonight is pub with friends for dinner, pool, home for cheese, Disarrano and coffee.

Up bright and early as need to be in Dorchester for 0820 to get the motorcycle serviced, ride back for a 25 mile cycle ride, lunch, ride back to Dorchester to collect bike, ride home. Probably rest.

Up early Sunday as we are on duty from 0800 to 1900 for SERV Wessex.

If we are not too busy there maybe a roast dinner, Bodyguard then bed.

Hasn’t quite gone to plan, m/c service done, no additional work required. But wife texted me to advise she was driving the porcelain bus so I had to go home and take daughter to Uni so I missed out on the bicycle ride and Berwick St John country fayre.

So I volunteered to do a few extra hours for SERV Wessex last night as we had two record shifts on Friday night and Saturday day with 12 runs a piece, in the end last night was quieter.

Now on duty, all ready, breakfast done watching MOTD. Wife is better so hopefully we might get a roast dinner tonight

This weekend we go to Winchester from Torbay and I drive it back our newly-bought Rimor Sailer 625 TC. Very carefully. Wife will follow in her car. Then we start learning about how to power up, monitor and close downwn the gas and electrical systems after use. And all the other myriad and legion issues associated with maintaining a motorhome. Doesn't this site send or email you a handbook if you join? I do subscribe,...

@Jim

Going to head down to the New Forest for a couple of nights tomorrow, for some R&R, some cycling and the chance to explore.
Booked into Hollands Wood campsite as wanted showers and to be able to walk or ride to somewhere interesting. It's looking pretty windy, but hopefully the only rain will be overnight if the forecast is to be believed!

You are correct about the wind, not so muchrain as yet, we’re at South Lytchet campsite, in Dorset, quite windy, haven’t put the awning in yet, but suspect it won’t be long

Local radio has just said we should expect 3 storms in the next 5 days........
To be honest they are not that accurate.
Have you tried Dylans Dorset Cream Tea?

Dylan’s cafe is part of the camp isn’t it, not as yet but I think we’re visiting there for lunch

It's not part of the site but you can cut through a gate to get there. Ask at the office and they should give you a discount voucher.

I’ll check out the voucher but I think we were given a voucher in our welcome pack, but thanks for the info

I don't think I'll be putting the awning out, but am hoping that being in the forest will provide some shelter at least.
