We're off down to Barcelona and Roses..... some house duties calling....NOT in Harvey but in Ski our lovely Skoda Octavia....so it's a flying visit getting the Roses house ready for family visits during the school hols ...and making sure the one in Barcelona is still standing....we're staying in hotels on the way...one night down 2 for the return....haven't stayed in hotels in France for donkey's years it will serve to remind us of just how lucky we are to have a whizzy MH. We'll be home on the 10th August. Off in about half an hour to catch th 08.20 train through the tunnel......wished we lived closer to Dover

just back from a great time with the wife ,daughter and 2 grandkids at cayton village caravan site.

bit dear,but a great place to relax.

a fun mover was parked 2 pitches down from us and on sunday a 5th wheeler arrived.

bet they thought the yanks are over again.

you can just see the roof of the rv over the top of the caravan, sorry didnt get a photo of the 5th.
also saw a fun (smily face) flag flying from a caravan. whose is that??
it was the wifes birthday so we all went for a meal to the local pub

Weekend started early , we are in Brighton and it's absolutely peeing down. All feels snugly in the van though. After the weekend we are off to Bristol for the Hot air balloon festival.

This Saturday we are off to see Santana at Woodstock. Or rather Bethem Arts Centre, which is at the site of the original Woodstock festival.

Forecast is that we may get some rain. Venue is outside but partly covered. We are in the covered bit so should be OK we hope.

We are going with daughter and SIL, who will be doing the driving. We may arrive early so we can do some authentic American tailgating.

18.30 ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge. 6 bikes, 9 nights. lads trip to the Alps and Black Forest. Visiting Son in Chamonix for a few beers as well. Hoping for dry weather.

This weekend we have driven the vast distance of 2.8 miles. To Lancing College to a THS run by West Sussex district DA. Very friendly bunch have had lots going on raising money for alzheimers charity. We've taken our 3 year old grandchildren they had a boogie to the band last night. And also had there faces painted and driven a garden tractor themselves. And they are still going like Durecell bunnies even after a long walk along the river. If only you could bottle that energy

Spending 4 days at Lac d'Aiguebelette. with some friends. The pitches are quiet a good size so they will camp next to us. Good opportunity to try our inflatable canoe out.

Just back after 6 nights in Chertsey 4 nights with grandchildren 2 on our own to recover, 2nd load in the washer, got guests this week then 5 days with another set of grandchildren.

Off to the New Forest for a few days from Thursday. Will then move on to somewhere else, probably Sussex for a few days before coming home. Hoping to be away 10-11 days.
