What are you up to this weekend?

Polishing and packing the van ready for setting off on Monday to visit Vanbitz on May 10th, except I'm taking the scenic route north first, spending a few nights at Berwick, followed by a stopover at Grafham Water and a further few nights at Crystal Palace, then finally on to sunny Taunton.

We have two 50th birthday parties this weekend, on Saturday and Sunday. More interestingly, I can feel a potential change of motorcycle on the cards...

Bottom of my garden has a cover of blackberry bushes, if I don't attack them each spring they take over. Started it yesterday but had to retreat when the inch long spikes were getting the better of me. Now I have regrouped and improved my defenses ready to go in with a second front at dawn today..

Just getting the MH loaded. All cleaned. Kat and I off to Sunny bonnie Scotland for 17 days. Maybe meeting up with John & Catherine = Stagman at some point too.. We shall see...

So, all the West Coast, Mull of Kintyre, Bunree, Skye, then 4 days on Harris, Ullapool etc etc...

I've booked 30 degree heat with the powers that be, and informed him that it isn't allowed to rain, sleet or snow

A weekend in the homeland...catching up with family with a cheeky visit to deepdale to watch last home game of the season. Then the fun starts. We pick up the new MH from Prestatyn next Tuesday,followed by a short tour of Wales. Just to get the feel of the van.

It's then passed around until empty at which point it usually gets reloaded.

Morning so here are in Port Mogan on Gran Canaria very nice small port village. We have beauutiful views across the valley down to the marine. Didn't realise that the islands had a high & low seaso, some restaurants and shops closing from now until September. Now we have seen as many as 20 motorhomes parked up in the car parks and at the side of the road, we just wondered where have they come from. Mostly Spanish number plates. Just how far is the mainland from the Canaries?

Sitting here at Blue Anchor in Somerset and it is hissing down, got to bite the bullet in a bit and get the dog out. Looks like the weather is going to improve tomorrow.
Had a very nice Sunday dinner in the Smugglers Arms washed down with a couple of pints of real ale.
Head off to VanBitz on Tuesday to have the new alarm fitted on Wednesday.

That was us probably ! Decided to stay at home and blitz all the garden jobs! Hedges / weeding / planting / watering /transplanting/sowing / dividing / harvesting / feeding / plus greenhouse cleaning and shading . Had a great time and the garden looks beautiful , well worth the effort .
Have booked a site just outside Abersoch for a long weekend this weekend coming , Bodwrog Campsite , as a reward !

Touring Dumfries and Galloway at the moment. Fabulous wild camping. Been here a week and first campsite tomorrow for a rest and a bit of electric. Then off to Arran in the weekend then Kintyre. Weather is fabulous!
