What are you up to this weekend?

This weekend we will mostly be getting Mo the motorhome ready for next weekend at Southport. :roflmto:

we are going to the national coal mining museum as the wee man is doing something at school on coal mining and we want to help him with it and granddad loves stem winding engines and all that engineering.

Unfortunately our MH is staying in the drive this weekend. Mum has a line dancing day out and since there doesn't seem to be any other soloists near Glasgow I'm staying home :(

Having the first w/end at home since May... Then two weeks time of to Cirencester cc with h the new companions camping club. ::bigsmile:

If it stops raining for long enough, the van might get a long overdue wash on Saturday. It will probably look much the same by the time we get to Southport whether it's washed this weekend or not, but I suppose I ought to make the effort.

Saturday evening it's off to Tetford for a memorial music session for a local pipemaker who was internationally renowned for his Uilleann Pipes & blackwood flutes. Tragically died in a car crash some years ago, but every year pipers from across the country who have his pipes gather with some of the local musicians who used to play with him, for a session in his memory.

Sunday breakfast will thus be a belated affair on the pub car park, followed by a meander across to Lincoln for the regular 3rd Sunday afternoon Irish music session in The Joiners Arms.

Sunday evening/Monday morning will involve taking almost everything out of the van that has accumulated over the past year ready for it's first annual habitation check on Tuesday. There is a fairly short list of things for them to fettle. Then it'll all have to go back in ready for Southport.
