Very unhappy purchasers!

hmm, trigano seem to have quite the monopoly on motorhomes!

Sorry for my ignorance....is autosleeper made by autotrail, some comments here suggest they do?

Nope, but Autotrail is much more exclusive than Autosleeper because it has its very own Unhappy Owners Club.

Take a look at the most recent entries from yesterday, below

Footnote to pics: I always thought that the rear double doors on a 6-week old Autotrail PVC were designed to let the flooded water out so I'm not sure why the guy is complaining, lol :D

So in summary
Many on here sympathise
Many think he's a moaner

Dealer MAYBE could have managed his initial complaint better, but again he me may be un-manageable

His expectations seem to go well beyond what the industry supplies as a norm.....

The only certain thing is that one day he will, like us all, pass on to that great Aire in the sky(e)
I for one don't want to die an angry man,

Does he ever go out in it? Or just use it as his hobby to moan

I did say earlier I would shake his hand, maybe a whisper in his ear as well

Use a non-permanent paint and paint all your complaints on the motor home. You can drive around with this all around the entrance, not blocking any access. Just write in big letters so it is easy to read. This will probably get more attention than a banner.
Good luck and thank you for fighting for everyone!
Paul.

Why would anyone do that to their vehicle? What’s he going to write... my seat won’t rotate because i’m an idiot who turns them the wrong way - oh and my hob rattles...

My kids taught me a useful phrase whenever I was getting grumpy about mess, noise, grocers' apostrophes, etc.

"Chill yer beans, dad".

It is a good motto for life. I'm sure angry men die earlier (and angrier) than calmer dudes.

Is this not the problem , we accept it as the norm WHY ? , i myself like to buy something and enjoy it , but to me this is not the norm in the Motorhome industry, come on let us all person up ❄ !! and perhaps life will be better for future Funsters , stop knocking the poor man , Ok I put a funny in but this is to keep my spirits up ( yes I know )

You have to give dealers a chance to fix things does this apply to boats that have leaks ?

Oven door and squeaks and rattles...hardly the same.....

Our local had a terrible review saying they were disgusted that they couldn't get a Sunday Roast. The pub has never had Sunday Roasts on the menu they just don't do them !

I was just reading the reviews on a cruise which we are thinking about checking the options on the ship. One person complained on the review that it was cold and they were forced to buy a fleece on the ship? - it was Alaska!

Very seldom sink when commissioned as we learnt to moor them somewhere shallow whilst carrying out PDI.
Out of interest our technicians would regularly pick up approx 80 items a lot very minor that needed attention on boats up to 40ft and maybe 120 on 50ft plus.
This use to leave the customers with only small and trivial faults to find (which they always did)
The faults were caused by carelessness, New people on the job, poor installation or laterly by the push to get more product out of the door.
It would seem that the smaller privately owned companys took more pride in getting the product right and the larger companys pushed the staff to get the product out of the door right or wrong.

And always have a salvage pump on board !!!

No thats the Autotrail damp test. Open the doors & if your feet are still dry that's as good as it gets :D .

The steak is under the grill, the chips are in the oven -- "how are the chips doing ?"

We get this at home and in the van. We survive.
Well, you wouldn't pee in the toilet with the lid down would you....

You would partially close the grill momentarily to check the oven.

But obviously this bloke hasn't thought of that.

I have seen the video, and the man has every right to complain. It’s shameful and both Marquis and Autotrail should be ashamed.
Phil

What do Auto Trail have to do with it? It's an Auto Sleeper, Marquis' own brand.

I was sure Auto Sleeper were Trigano owned too?

They are Jim, Trigano bought them at the beginning of 2017, Marquis too. Latest buy is Adria. Pilote now own WildAx and of course Hymer bought Elddis.

I think there's only Swift and Bailey left now.

According to previous posts they are owned by the same firm

Well yeah they're owned by the same group but they're all run independently... you wouldn't mention Auto Trail if it was a Chausson or Rapido and they have the same owners too. The only models which share production lines are Roller Team & Mobilivetta A class in Italy plus Roller Team & Auto Trail PVC's in Grimsby.

I think the guy has some points that need fixing such as the screw breaking through the trim, but it is also the case of buyer beware, by this I mean check out the demo / show van you would not be able to fully open the oven door on that, and get a 'feel' for how the draws open/close. Look at the feel and quality of the furnishings.

So does he have a point, yes I think he does, and Marquis should fix the ones they can but some of the special features like the rattling sink/oven you could say 'they all do that sir' Having said that I wouldn't be that happy either.

This chap seems to like the Autosleeper....
