Vaccine Passports..

We did not get anything to show that we have had ours. What did others in Scotland get?
Do you have the NHS app in Scotland, not the NHS covid track and trace but the NHS app which you register your NH number etc and can order repeat prescriptions etc. If you allow you health records share on it then all your "acute medications" are shown, so vaccinations for Flu and now Covid. It, like the card we get in England after vaccination at least, gives you the type of vaccine its batch number etc. If not bang on to NS and tell her to get it sorted!

we received a small pamphlet explaining a bit about the AZ jab ,and possibly side effects.

Not sure about that app but that would not be of much use to many of my elderly friends who don’t have smart phones, etc. As for NS, I will probably be dead before she answered!

Everyone I know that has had the vaccine has been issued a small blue card saying they have been vaccinated. why can’t we just use that?
You should be able to, it has the batch number date and your name on it.

“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”

You can bet your bottom dollar that Sunak will be considering a 'Foreign Holiday' tax in either the budget due next month, or the one due in the Autumn.
What form it might take however is open to interpretation.
That could be a good idea. Encourage people to spend in the U.K. and help our own economy rather than another country’s. (Said by me who has spent at least five months per year abroad for the last 16 years).

Our economy will need all the help it can get to rebuild.

Maybe there is a vaccine being developed for that 😉 it’s not just the Covid issue that has effected the economy it’s reported that B****t has cost in the region of £200B so far which will also need to be addressed. So maybe a vaccine for that as well 😉

Don't need an app you can sign up for the online site "Patient Access"
My wife's mum will be 91 in a couple of months she has never had a mobile phone but she bought a new computer 2 years ago. :giggle:

EMIS access so no need, nothing secret only your medical files and any procedures you have had done etc, not going to rob your savings or be used for anything else than your medical history so why not? Pull up at customs produce passport and give NHS number, quick check their end as to who is vaccinated and off you go, quite easy to restrict access to third party for your records but why would anyone want to clone them, * How's the syphilis/gonorrhoea/std's holding up?* Or when did you have your appendix out? What do the conspiracy theorists make of that other than * THEY can tell if YOU have not had it or been vaccinated against it!*

My medical records are incorrect - I have been mixed up with someone else - my name on the file but records for at least two different people are inside and some of my records are completely missing. Even more concerning is that the other person in my records is male and it was his profile that was entered into my basic record which caused a lot of confusion when I had to have gynae stuff done.

I down loaded the app today (face recognition etc ) then the email to say all was good to go.
When I opened the app I was disappointed to find none of my health records were there, do I now have to inform my practice to down load my records to the app?

My health records end in 1962. To be fair to the NHS that is the last time I saw a doctor. I have seen nurses for stitches etc since but nothing else. Not even a prescription. I did have a prescription from a dentist in 1979 but never had it made up. So I suppose my records could be a bit sketchy.

I don’t remember why, probably some childhood illness. Thirty years Fire Service one period off sick. One of my mates dropped a 135 ladder on me. So I guess that’s not really off sick but off injured. I’ve never had flu, never had a headache I tried paracetamol once it didn’t get rid of the pain so I have never taken them since, broke a finger once but you can’t be off work for that can you?
Some of us are just lucky I guess.

You don't get access to your health records per se, just medicines, prescriptions and vaccinations. It might take a day or 2, its a while since I did it and setting up is not a recurring process. I seem to remember that you have to give some additional permission for health record access.

Vaccine Passport; not sure what all the fuss is about with this. The NHS have very clear protocols in place with their Staff Immunisation Policy, No immunisation in some areas no job. You have already to have a yellow fever passport, you have an on line register of your driving licence where you don't need to have your actual document with you when hiring abroad. Can only see positives by opening everything up, if you don't want to have the jab or don't want to provide confirmation if requested thats fine just take the consequences. If you cannot have the vaccine for some health reason that should be documented and you will need to take one of those quick testing gismo's. This will become like a 'black lives matter' debate soon - of course everybody with a brain knows they do.

It depends on your surgery. I have full access to all my medical records as does my husband. You can request it but they have to go through it and check that there are no 3rd party references. Everyone has a right to access, can take a while at the moment for it to be checked if you’ve been registered a while. Son has just reregistered as it’s unlikely he will be going back to Newcastle for Uni as it’s all online and he doesn’t want to miss his Covid jab and it has taken 24hrs but he’s young and changed doctors a few times with Uni so his notes will have been checked before.

That sounds totally on trend and modern.

Like, men requiring cervical smears, tampons, etc.

As Michael says you have to do further log in with your NHS id & number and then it takes a day or two. Even then it's not where you expect it to be, it's listed under medications.

Thanks that is very useful, my surgery are not the most customer facing and getting them to do anything that suggests work is a test. I was in there yesterday for my annual Hypertension exam, one other patient passed through whilst I was there, it was the Marie Celeste. But they are very busy quoted the nurse! I will examine the option further.

The timing of your post was very strange as I had the app open reordering my medication! How different surgeries load the information varies slightly. Mine don’t put your vaccinations in a separate section which would be handy, you have to scroll down through loads of pages. It would be much nicer if it was like on your medical record “proper”! I was also checking how long ago it was I had my barium enema, I could even read the report, ooh what fun.

I think my mother in law has used your quota of gp appointments and hospital visits. She has a seat reserved with her name on it in the surgery waiting room

just had a call from my
Doctors Surgery late this afternoon
Hello is that Mr S can you come on Friday for your COVID vaccination at 12.20
Wasn’t expecting to be called for at least two months as I’m under 60 (just)
Had the AstraZeneca Vaccine yesterday and about 8 hours after I started to feel a bit unwell with shivering and feeling cold
Went to bed after taking paracetamol and slept soundly for 6 hours woke up to a headache and felt achy.
Only now 24 hours since having the jab am I starting to feel better

I remember the local Doc saying to me "You haven't been here for over three years: I'll take you seriously then...".

After contacting the app help desk they were able to point my health centre in the right direction on how the app worked and my records were unloaded including my covit vaccine record.
Just checked the app this morning to find my vaccination record had been replaced with the message This information is not available on the nhs app, contact your health centre.
Just wondering if this has happened to others with the app.

I think it is down to your surgery if they put the info there.
