Not usually, but it's no big deal.
Good to know - are you running one or two solar units.

John @Neckender, where did your source your alloy wheels from and can you give me an idea of cost etc
I've a 600L revolution and can confirm the step below the bed is a 2 piece vertical wooden affair that completely removes and one can walk unimpeded to the rear of the van.
@Blue Knight I got them from EBay but was very lucky as the chap bought the wrong size for his van and I won them for £567 instead of the going price of £1280.
I have fitted 200 wat of solar and a Schaudt LRM 1218 controller all the instructions came with the controller and with a bit of help off the forum I managed to pic the right diagram and the system works very well.
John.
Hi Andrew @Blue Knight try one of these before you cut a hole in your roof as we had SMC fit us a tv aerial on the roof and mostly it works well but some areas it is appalling.
I bought this magnetic roof aerial and it’s brilliant, there are some quite a bit cheaper but I wouldn’t risk the performance.
John.

It does make it very versatile. We are able to carry 2 mountain bikes, a road bike and boxes of kit in the rear and still use the bed without needing a bike rack, so much more secure. Thanks for confirming that Gerry. It must make for an incredibly versatile van when the partition can be fully removed.

Try them all out at the NEC!( you are going for the whole week aren't you?!!)That really is truly amazing compared to any other van that I've seen too date, regardless of design or type.
Our list of 5 vans may now be one albeit Nicky doesn't quite like the interior or the central shower.
Still, that said, we will probably adjust soon enough.
I also have the option to vinyl wrap the surfaces in what ever colour I wish so that opens the choice up a bit.

@Blue Knight - in our Campscout the 2 'stairs' can be completely removed and we'd still have 2 single beds - there's a gap at the front 3rd of the bed area so we could put a removable set of steps there to get in/out of the bed if we took the original 'stairs' out but with the Revolution models you wouldn't have this gap so you need to think how you'd get in/out of bed with the centre partition removed. When we had the Familyscout with a transverse double it had the same central partition as the Campscout Revolution and we got round the bed access issue by having a tall plastic robust stool/step which was sufficient to allow easier access in/out of the bed but could be easily removed and plonked on the bed when necessary, it also meant that it could be left on the floor at night even when the toilet compartment was used as the tambour door went round it ... something to think about.
Yes I believe the Revolution has a ladder but I'm not sure that it can be left in situ when you use the loo, ie open/close the tambour door, whereas a stool would still let you do this, the other option is to leave the door open on the opposite side to the toilet compartment so it sits across the fridge/wardrobe which would allow the ladder to remain in situ when you use the loo but of course you can't then close the door ... depends how much privacy you need when performing I suppose! Thanks Mel , I'm trying to recall my recent viewing of the Campscout Revolution at SMC as I think it came with a long alloy ladder for access to the electric bed.
If it did then we could use the bed in a high position and the pupster could have his space below.
That said, we've adopted a dog with issues around other pooches so our days on campsites may be numbered (until the social training kicks in).
The Revolution comes with two ladders, a long one and a short one. both of which stop the toilet door closing.
Y
Yes, he can sleep under the bed
thats where our ratbag sleeps too, made a dog gate for back so can open rear doors and have his nosey ass contained!
That's really nice to know since the Revolution looks a really useful space and a one of a kind in the PVC world.
Here is a pic of our new problem child who incidentally wants to eat every other dog.
I can't see our C&MC membership surviving for much longer with this little fella onboard

if peeps remind me i will take some pics and post up
Brilliant, it would be great to see them
Nope, I can't see much advantage either in getting the higher version ... unless the dog is gonna end up with legs like a giraffe!Trying to puzzle this out ... having a large dog too!! What advantage does the revolution have? ... the dog still takes up the floorspace and could get through to it if you removed the steps in the standard Campscout. Am I missing something?
For us, the advantage to the revolution is we can carry our bikes internally. The loadspace is higher and longer in the revolution than in the standard.... We couldn't fit bikes in the std layout van
