I've just joined the group but it's hard-going trying to find the bit about the delamination due to all the other stuff posted on there ... is there an easy way to sort out the wheat from the chaff, ie the social photos etc from the more 'interesting' to me anyway, techy/issues stuff? I don't do facebook normally so rather than mess about trying to work it out it would help if someone could give me some tips.
When I first joined it many years ago I got a message to someone had posted on my 'wall' ... I spend ages looking for a 'wall' then someone at work told me it was my page!
True for UK vans BUT I've seen them advertised as Elegance abroad but without the flush windows, so I think in the UK Elegance always includes the flush ones, this means that if you buy abroad you need to check if it does get the flush windows as they tend to be sold without 'inclusive packages' there so it could simply be that it has the Elegance interior but not the windows.

Yes the Elegance pack. In the UK it gives you mainly the cream/white cabinet doors, a slightly different worktop flap/side arrangement and the flush windows, there may be other bits too but I can't recall them at present.Mel and John @Neckender,
Are you guys referring to the Elegance Pack which comes as an optional pack.
I only ask because I've seen a traders advert where the van is advertised as a Roadscout Elegance.
... that is good (bad) enough to be one of Old-mo's jokes ....
with whom?I've just had an insurance quote for a Globecar van with a retail of £57,000 and it came in at £205 (4,000 miles with SD&P and Business use).
That's not bad at all
We like the flush windows on the side but not on the rear where we agree they just look funny to us, down to personal preference, and how much you want to spend I suppose.I preferred the non-flush windows. I think they look better externally, especially on the back doors.
Looks very smart John but there's no way I'd be able to 'rest' in the bedroom area with white cupboard doors ... they remind me too much of my dentist ... also my husband is a b*gger for putting finger prints all over and the thought of being able to see them on white glossy drawer/door fronts means I'd end up having to wash them down constantly ... the brown wood effect 'hides' them fortunately!@Blue Knight here are some pictures of the elegance interior taken today with all the blinds shut and just the side door open, you can see how much brighter it is than the ordinary brown doors.
John.

Looks lovely to me! That’s the same upholstory/windows/cabinets as are in the van we’re waiting to be shipped.
John, couple of questions .... how did you do carpet and where did you get the orange curtains in first picture and the seat covers?
Thanks.
with whom?

Have you received an ETA yet?
No. The dealer is convinced it will be soon. He had 3 vans ordered in the same production batch and the other 2 are now in the U.K. But Globecar will not give him an ETA despite him chasing.
Problem for me is that I teach so holidays are fixed.
We want to put a bus biker rack on it which requires us to go to Holland. If it had arrived in June we would have done that over the summer. We finish up this Friday for 2 weeks but it will not now be here for that. Next holiday is Christmas. Do I want to take it over the North Sea in winter .
Grianann,
When you get the bike rack fitted the Marian near by is easiserts to stay at. Also make sure you have a card they accept. They don’t take credit cards or MasterCard or Visa debit cards! I found this out once they had fitted my rack, it made for an interesting few hours. Apart from that the service off them was brilliant.
Thanks 1Ten ... I assumed we might need to pay cash ... the Marian is a great tip, appreciated!
That's shocking!! You must have the patience of a saint. Nicky and I don't have your strength of resilience and by now I would have told the dealer to [insert rude word] off.
I get the impression that the Newark dealer will have the first slice of the pie when it comes to stock allocation followed by the rest.
All the best,
Andrww
I have to say that's not the case in our experience ... when we are at Pisa we were parked up along with another PVC and both of us had our windows prised open, we had the 'puffy' windows and they had the totally flush ones, neither had stopped entry. I think our large overlapping windows are possibly a bit more resistant as it is difficult to get access to the base of the window frame to lever against, although you can grip the window itself but it's surprisingly strong, whereas on the flush ones it's quite easy to stick something in between the window and frame.I preferred the flush windows when we were looking at them, seem a bit safer and harder to just get a screwdriver in behind and prise off.
