According to Liam the terrible, he only charged them £5800 for the whole 7 weeks, he says they had more than that in free stuff, don't know how much the other two guys charged, but I would think Liam and Janine got away with less than 10 grand for the build.I didn't think it would end well, the truth is I still believe it's the wrong base vehicle and was never going to work out well whatever was done to it and whoever did it. I think the couple were trying to be too clever in their pursuit for a 'stealth camper'. For the type of off grid living they do, there are too many height barriers in the places they like to go.
Did they reveal total cost yet? LtT spent 6/7 weeks, so I bet that wasn't cheap and there were a couple of others spending at least a week or two doing odd jobs, plus storage overheads at the unit they were working from.
And to do van of that size with no toilet and a bed that doesn't seem to have been thought through just doesn't make sense.
In my opinion and that's all it is as other people like different things the bed should have been at the back with some sort of lift up arrangement, don't know what but they have plenty height, then it could then have been length ways and each could get in and out without disturbing the other.
That bed they have now is going to be a pain to get in and out of.
The decking is a complete waste of money and weight , wouldn't like to be up there with a bottle of wine and fall off the side.
The log burner similar.
No special toilet would be a complete deal breaker for me.
Again it's only my opinion so matters not one jot, just a shame to see a good project ruined.
