THIS week I bought

Swapped out the original tyres yesterday for some Continental Vanco Camper All Seasons, including a spare for the garage. The plastic has had a good workout. I've just gone for a tyre to save weight. It replaces the unused steel spare (225/75 R16)that I bought just 2 years ago and has sat in the motorhome garage ever since complete with its sticky specification label. If anyone wants a spare rather than the "goo machine" that most motorhomes have in lieu of a proper wheel, make me an offer I can't refuse.

Lots of lovely stuff at Gibson's, haven't been there for a while though.
I was told by a lady outside that there is a new farm shop opening in another village towards Dover that will be less er.... pricey. She couldn't remember where!

We used to go there every couple of months on the bikes for Sunday breakfast. They stopped that and moved "up market". Replacing full English (all local produce) with avocado on toast etc...

The Bakewell was £2.99. It was lovely. Half for me and half for Mrs Moto! Go it's worth the drive/ride there....

We drove down several narrow country lanes in our 7.2m motorhome just for the photo opportunity of finding that sign. When we got to the junction, someone had stolen the sign!

Probably part of the Finglesham Deal? (Look at the link pic)

A Crit'air sticker, Angles Morts Stickers, hi-viz vest, France / Spain road atlas. I'm not catching the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry until October but I have a long checklist and I like to tick things off early.

This week :- Truma Ultraflow external shower attachment (for the dogs), Thule wheel levelling ramps, spare bulb kit, thermal screen cover blinds, another large warning triangle (to comply with Spanish laws), a pair of hi-vis jackets and a Samsung A52 phone that will be used as a wi-fi "hot spot" fitted with a Popit sim card.
Nearly done now!

How long are you going away for? That's quite a spending spree you've had for a long weekend in Spain!

Full English breakfast at pub stopover this morning

Not something I've bought as such, but finished making new curtains for da van - will knock up matching cushion covers this weekend. Its been a real labour of love, those teeny hooks are so incredibly fiddly!!! Delighted to get rid of the floral ones!!!

I feel for you took them all out if parents when I cleaned it for selling. Washed ironed and put the curtains on the table so that the buyer could have the pleasure of putting them back up

They look very smart
