THIS week I bought

Not sure if Saturday counts as this week but I ordered a new water filler neck for the van. It comes with a cap and keys so that will give me a spare cap when I leave it at the tap, again.
With assistance from son we managed to get the corner cushion out to make fitting the new filler neck a lot easier. He is more flexible than me and left handed. I did say don’t get stuck in the locker it would take some explaining to the fire brigade. The screws are about two inches long. and took some getting out even with the DeWalt.

Two new batteries to replace the single that was in the van when we bought it.. Had so much trouble finding ones that would fit but in the end found a pair the same as the old one for not bad money. The old one wasn't shot but is 4 years old - now in the garden providing lighting.

I'd have liked bigger ones but the height is very limited. One under each front seat.

Thanks to a recommendation from a well known funster, I bought one of these yesterday, better safe than sorry, especially having read concerns from funsters with suspected gas leak problems.

Just got a nice little solar panel and charger with two small lights . Will try them out. But I am thinking about a new sat nav. But which one.??

Try the xgody ones of e Bay, updated maps are available on the Nozatec Facebook forum, cheap and around 40 squid.
Easy to update and operate, have truck data, suitable for motorhomes. (y)

A couple of hair-catchers for the twin shower outlets, for the shower we will have to use next week!

The cab seats in our present MH are no where near as comfortable as the seats in the Ducato X244 PVC we had previously and having followed the "Ducato sheepskins for seat covers?" thread,
I ordered these Wolf tip Mouflon sheepskins which arrived today.
As well as being lovely and soft to the touch

they're lovely! Tempted ........

cruiser, depending on what size you want, either the Xgody 886, or the Xgody 9" .

I have the 9" model (not Xgody, but the same by a different name), with a built in dash cam. Although I don't find the dash cam all that reliable (freezes up now and then), I do find the Sat Nav extremely reliable, providing of course the maps are kept up to date. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Bought a 45L 12v compressor freezer for 350 delivered from Just Kampers. It brings it down to -20 with no problems. Has a eco or max mode, digital display, battery protection presets, and draws 40-45w peak on max mode. Very tuff box and well insulated. It can be used as a fridge and has a veg compartment box that stays warmer than the deep freezer. Comes with a 4m 12v lead, and 230v adapter. Well happy with the choice over the mobi cool.

Bought two sheepskin rugs, just arrived today, to use in van as seat covers to stop my bum from getting sore on a long run. They are a beautiful colour, and very thick and soft(y)a bargain too at £72 for the pair(y)
BUT
They are a little too short to reach the top of the headrest at 105cms long.
Was warned just having ordered they may not reach the top of the headrest, but the order was already placed via E Bay.:eek::eek:
I feel a real numpty now, talk about measure twice, order once:doh:
Will still use them, might even turn them into something else, but dont dare mention that to TinaL just yet:whistle2:

I told management we needed new heads for the toothbrush when we go to Sainsburys, Lidle ones dont fit.
Being out with her nutty mate today she bought new tooth brush heads and a new tooth brush for the van, it was half price.
It comes with a tube of tooth paste and one head. The new tooth brush was needed because the old one rattled. When we do a van shop next week before we go away we will need another toothbrush head. They will only sell them in pairs.
Another flaw in her plan comes to mind. We are not on hook up until our second trip in August.
Management is always right and dont try and say sorry, it proves youre guilty.

An expensive few weeks ahead :whatthe:
1. Just had a Yuasa AGM leisure battery delivered from Tayna, to add to the existing one of the same brand/type. Couldn't believe it arrived less than 24 hours after ordering (y)(y)
2. Booked Vanbitz for Gaslow, battery master & fitting above battery while the van is there. (Then discovered our nearest garage with LPG is stopping next month!)
3. Booked Solar Solutions for VB semi air suspension assist to raise back end to help stop grounding due to long overhang.
4. Car service & MOT
5. Wedding anniversary :whatthe:::bigsmile:
6. Work supposedly starting next week to replace 120' of close board fencing in garden.
7. Hab check in September.

If anybody comes across me busking, please give generously :roflmto:. Wife & Motorhome to support ::bigsmile::roflmto: (plus she wants to get a dog when fence is done :winky: )
Oops - forgot......
8. Halogen oven from Welsh girl

Sell the wife!

I needed an adjustable spanner for MHome so thought sensible to buy a little tool kit, great little set, although lid could be better. Ha...... stupid thing is I did not check width of included adjustable spanner, which is too small for what I wanted, so great tool kit if needed but will have to buy another spanner. We are all set for getting away next week. Shortly on ROAD to dream. Smudger55

Unexpectedly a new car for my wife.

Took our present car in for service and saw a car she liked. Had a drive in their demo car and bought it, 5 months old, less than 1k miles on the clock and £8k below list for a brand new model. Collect on Monday.

Sometimes you just have to take a chance!
