THIS week I bought

Tighten up the ring that grips the spindle that holds the handlebars on a bike . Mind the ball bearing don’t fall out

No all wrong but I can’t keep a secret it a tool for adjusting chain on a Ducati with a single sided swing arm ?

Well as others have said, used for shocks and things like headstock adjusting if smaller..
But unofficially known in my workshop as knuckle skin remover !
No Jaws I have answered the question but I guess you are right in a way it is a knuckle skin remover ???

I find the 'adjustable' ones are ever so slightly less of a knuckle skin remover....

Yes, I like those but never found any that last.. I used to get about 10 - 15 shock builds out of one before it became unusable

I've had my draper one for years, but it's only been used on headstocks, cycles, giraffe unicycle (before I changed the ball bearing bottom bracket to a sealed shimano jobby) and these days for twin shock adjustments on my motorbikes - back in the day I had the strength to do them by hand

I bought a lathe on April 6th from Amazon and bought lots of lathe bits on the strength of that. Still waiting for delivery .

Where are yooooooo.

Darn it ... I nearly said it was something to do with a chain as I'm sure we had a similar item for our Bond Minicar but the weeds in my garden were calling me to go pull them up so I didn't post!

Was it a Mini-Lathe?

Proxxon PD250e

One very early morning Amazon listed it at £829. 2 weeks later I started kicking off about delay and no delivery date. I'm guessing they've had to procure one at full price to fill my contract. It is arriving tomorrow all the way from Barcelona

I have the Proxxon MF70 miller. The tool I use most is the 125mm bench sander

Dependent on size that look like a collect locking ring spanner as used in lathes or milling machines.

Much better than a MiniLathe! I have Proxxon kit, including a scroll saw and a BFW40/E high speed mill. Excellent stuff.
Happy turning!

You two are my new best friends - I'd love a lathe/milling mc in my workshop, but not enough space.

Now what format would you like my technical drawings in? (just a few motorbike bits you understand) ?
