THIS week I bought

After our Schaudt charger broke on our recent holiday when the campsite wardens removed our ehu without asking us I decided to protect the electrics with a voltage protecter. The Schaudt OVP 01 seemed a bit expensive but I found the Sollatek AVS30 at £30.40 on Amazon, easy to wire in and works great.

I replaced the stupidly low spout one (like your new one ...)

Nooooooooooo... It is the same height as the old one..It is just a little shorter (which is a good thing in our case )

Re Belgium ... We are going to Namur for a party and a long weekend at the end of the month :-)

First time I've heard that! :D2 I LOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEE my long curving spout! The handle/lever has also had a bit of an extension added too ... I'll post a picture of that later ... don't want you to get a complex. :D

Yes it is a microswitch one, I picked up at the Peterborough show from Simpsons when they used to sell oddments at their stand, cost me £25 I think in 2015 ... I got it before we knew we were going to change campers and only got round to putting it in our previous camper (Globecar Familyscout L) last year after I got fed up of the original one. When we sold the Familyscout I put the original one back and then my fitted the tall one into our current Globecar Campscout.

You can buy them easily enough though ... can't remember what it is, could be a Reich or a Whale one.

Today I bought a 6 month old Hyundai Tucson, and we pick it up tomorrow, I part exchanged our 2 1/2 year old Ford Fiesta.

The reason we’re getting rid of the Fiesta there was a consumer program on the TV on Monday and it’s top subject was about Ford Fiestas and Focus ecoboost models were bursting into flames and one poor person was burnt to death trapped in his car.

With Pat suffering with arthritis of the spine I’m not prepared to take the risk so tomorrow the Fiesta goes with just 12000 miles on the clock.

John.

I'd be doing the same John, I saw the programme and was totally aghast that the situation was allowed to continue.

Our cheap-ish Chinese 1000 watt pure sine wave eBay inverter decided to drop down to chucking out around 200 volts and after info from the seller on how to wind the volts up it has again dropped down to around 200 volts, so I have replaced it with a nice new Sterling 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter. (y)

Only down side was that the Sterling blurb on the inverter states that it is 300mm L x 190mm W x 85mm D, great as the old inverter was 300mm long and fitted nicely in a space under the seating, so an easy swap, wrong, the Stering inverter is actually 350mm long, so I had to find a new home for it.

... a Sonos Playbase to compliment the "cheap" Play Ones I brought back from Oz...

It wasn't cheap  but the sound is awesome, once you feed it the right sound source ...

That slim plinth houses ten built-in digital amplifiers, three tweeters, six mid-range units, and an 'S' shaped sub woofer

A popular thread on other forums so if no one minds I'll kick it off here unless anyone has a problem with it?OR does such exist already
This week after endless buying extras over the last 20 months I have bought what I expect to be the last bullet in the clip before trading up when we can afford it
Air suspension! and after much deliberation I concluded that Dunlop sold by Marcle is best bang for buck and wifey picked it up from the post office yesterday for me.
I arrived home from my out of town job this evening like a child at Christmas and had it unwrapped in no time.
I'm immediately impressed with just how substantial the brackets are and the bellows are very big in diameter to increase stability.
Cant wait for a good weather day off work to fit! Instructions are child's play and I will park the back on the quatro's for a bit of crawling space :thumb:

Is your old Myford looking for a new home? I like restoring old machine tools

Decided to treat myself to a new inflatable Gumotex kayak ... ordered this beauty: :D2

Only kidding ... whilst I love the green but I went for the slightly more subtle red:

There's nothing wrong with my existing Twist at all and the Twist is a brilliant little kayak but seeing as hubby sold his I've 'upgraded' to the full Nitrilon Twist version. Our 2 little dogs now want to come for a paddle with me which means the inside of the kayak often gets wet from one of them jumping in/out on the shoreline and on/off the boat further out at times (she's a nutter for water!) so the only reason I'm changing is that my old Twist is a different material (still ruddy tough though) which means it does take a little time to dry whereas the Nitrilon one can just be dried off with a cloth and put away immediately so is ideal for us as we don't necessarily stop at the place where I go for a paddle.

Arrived today. been trying to find one for the motorhome for ages.
Now I can leave my first one in the house. It goes with the very smart gas kettle, which is a work of art.
There's little that's more important than a decent cup of tea and having the right stuff to dress it up adds to the subliminal before taste.
I'm not really equating it to a surgeon have the right tools, but...
