THIS week I bought

More preparations for our summer getaway...deadlocks for the hab and drivers door.
Our Hymer has a special cut out in the doors for a Abus 4010 or 4025 lock - it fits perfectly, the only problem is that they are a discontinued model.
Not being one to give up easily I have found two new locks from different sellers on the German eBay (they did not show up when I searched 'Europe' in the British eBay). One has arrived already, the other is in transit.
Thank you @cliffandger for your advice...

Today I bought... A cello tv for the old bus, changed the old tv socket ( 2 pin ) for a cig lighter. Went to the local calor centre to change an empty bottle EEK! £27. I happened to mention to the guy at the counter that calors website advertises 6 kg refills for £21.95 and he replies that they put on £5 for delivery? I'm thinking about refillables now...

A 10mtr roll of this,

Premium Self Adhesive Flexible Magnetic Tape Craft Magnet Strip 20mm, £5.59, as I'm taking off the shower door and will use this to keep the shower curtain in place while showering.

One of these,

Caravan Gas Locker Lock Assembly + 2 Keys - West Alloy Lock - A1055, on the bottom half of the split hab door, more as a visual deterrent
as I reckon I could pop that open in less than a minute.

2 of these,

SIKAFLEX 252 WHITE Strong Structural Adhesive Sealant Caravan Camper Boat 03/19 + 1 of these SIKAFLEX Aktivator/Activator 205 Cleaner 250ml use with Sikaflex 221/252/512/521, 3 x 100w panels being fitted next week

1 of these,

Reich 14 Litre Per Minute 12 V Submersible Water Pump Caravan Motorhome for pumping the 2 x 50 litre spare containers into the main tank

1 of these,

12V CAR TRUCK CARAVAN BOAT ANTI MOSQUITO INSECT REPELLENT DEVICE CIGARETTE PLUG, to help keep the mozzies at bay

1 of these,

FIAT DUCATO BUS 2.5 D 95HP 1980-1994 Exhaust Front Pipe+, along with the rest of the new LHD system being fettled to a RHD van today

And 2 x new Vanco 195/75/R16's and an MOT on Monday.

New floor covering.

I wish that was it for the spending but there's more to come yet. :banghead:

Now a question as I've never used MC4 connectors before so ... will I need one of these 'spanner' things???

The solar panels etc have the connectors on and I already have some wire stripping and crimping tools so don't want to spend unnecessarily if I don't need to so can you explain what I would need to use that for please? :)

When I did my solar panels I got MC4 connectors for the cable and I had got a basic crimping tool for the normal spade connectors, that only squash rather than crimp the middle and cable holding wings, if that makes sense.

Heosafe door locks and pro plate lock protectors...... gonna be busy with the screwdrivers......

Just ordered a new pressure washer, a Karcher K7. That should blast the dirt off the chassis nicely.............
and 150 metres of chicken wire to keep those nasty wabbits off our new shrubs and veggie plot.

Set of 6 bike carrier rack straps that fit the old style Fiamma bike rack -£9.99 on fleabay from yogi24limited. They fit nicely through the slot and wont easily fall off even if I forget to close them! Some I've seen have been a lot more pricey.

That removes the questions of what time is it in the middle of the night! For those of a battery paranoia it also tells you the battery voltage and inside/outside temp.
Goes off with main power but has battery back-up for time etc.

A whole £11 and 20mins to fit. Fortunately our Swift has a 12v socket at the foot end of the bed so I wired it in to the back of that.
The view is from lying on the the bed.

A new motorhome. Damn you Peterborough show. Apart from that I only spent £2 on a lovely Andrex puppy for Sue and £3.50 for the most expensive and tasteless ice cream cone in the world.

The second one arrived today. One was an eBay auction (I was the only bidder), the other eBay Classified (never heard of that before). The prices included the postage of 17 euros each.

Are you going to tell us what you've bought???(y)

Went along to the Peterborough show with a small shopping list consisting of toilet liquid and black stickers for headlight covers, for our pending trip to France.

Failed on both accounts, so rather than come back empty handed, we bought this instead:D

No more shows for awhile and will stick to getting things online in future, it’s cheaper:whistle:

Hymer tsl 668 from Becks. Lovely big bathroom, low singles, a proper oven and Alde heating. I couldn't resist!
We bought our 668SL from Becks at Peterborough two years ago and still very happy with the van and dealer .. hope you enjoy your one.(y)

Ah, now I understand your "goes off with the main power" comment as your Swift will isolate the hab power when you travel so it's not on all the time. Don't you find the glare from it keeps you awake though?

My Swift can travel with the Hab power on. The clock will stay on all the time that the master power is on. So power to the 12v sockets. Turn the master power switch off and the display goes blank.

The brightness is no worse than any digital clock in the bedroom but this one is about 10 feet away rather than being on a bedside cupboard.
I took the photo of it when I was lying on the bed. It's mounted close to the ceiling at the foot end so a fair distance away.

Woohoo a 'bog trolley' from evilbay 10 quid odd posted........rock n roll lifestyle me...

And yes, this is now the official term for said items.....will work on getting it into the Oxford dictionary. ..
