THIS week I bought

Just ordered Tyrepal Solar and mentioned @Wombles as the referrer and our resident bargain hunter. I've also asked them to include MHF as an option in the "where did you hear about us" as we're bigger than Facts! (y)

I'm now looking at headlamp protectors after dissing @Larrynwin and his nine suckers.
Hubby's just taken the protectors off our X250 (seeing as we'll be selling it) - as they won't fit our X290 lights let me know if you're interested in purchasing them via PM.:)

Golden rule, unscrew the shower hose to drain the final dregs of water or you could damage the tap:(
My golden rule Mo, is after draining down, remove the shower head, open the shower tap, and blow back through the hose, to remove all excess water in the lines. (y) It's as effective as an air line. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Morrisons donuts are vile putrid evil little balls of pure nastiness filled with some kind of oozing primordial pond slime that has never been jam !
Sainsbury's use real jam (y)

Taste nice though!

After asking the question and getting answers from funsters I bought an Xgody 886 Chinese Sat Nav a nice piece of kit. Nicely finished and good comms from Xgody. A little confusing at first but seems comprehensive. Menus not intuitive however. Also bought a for it from ebay at £7.49 a good buy I think.

Sorry, it may be me, but what did you actually buy ?

Ok, now I see it, many thanks, we’ve got a similar setup on the Alphard (but only 4) and a set of six on the Hymer, superb

Damnit, I saved £15 on the tyrepal setup and now I've gone & blown the pension on Sikaflex, a water pump, 12v mozzie killer & tabs, pipe & heaven knows what else.

I blame Paypal, it shouldn't be possible to buy fings wiv 1 or 2 clicks of a mouse. :crying::crying:

Hymie.

Don’t worry you’re not on your own, I’ve just changed ALL the fuses in our Hymer to LED “glow blow” type, (when a fuse blows, an on board led lights up), but I got lost as I ordered too many from different sources, but I’m still short on others, doh

Just brought a cello tv for the van instead of mucking about with old household portable and inverter ,trailing sockets etc. Already for blundering around Europe . Two pensioners and two little pains in the bum rescue dogs, what can go wrong? Looking forward to getting a Spanish gas bottle etc.

A second hand denim jacket.. My old cut down patch adorned one has sadly shrunk quite dramatically over the past few years..
And I am SURE the jackets around today are not measured correctly.. I mean, old denim was 48" chest.. replacement is 54" !!

Now I have got to spend hours taking all my patches off the old jacket and sewing them on the replacement :(

Carbon Monoxide detector - €15 at Action. That's the new Dutch owned chain that is fast becoming our favourite shop for all sorts of things. We got a folding camping table for €24 last week and whilst it isn't fully adjustable like the £100 ones are, it is as solid as a rock and a vast improvement on our usual one.

Got another Google home smart speaker, had the mini for a while so got the larger one now too. These smart speakers are the business.(y)

Today I went to B&Q for a new Yale cylinder for the front door of Speedy Towers.

The old lock and key had gone on strike. The key just went round and round without engaging any of the gubbins.
Eeek - I was locked out! :Eeek: I can't tell you how I got in, eventually. It's a secret. :whistle2:

As any DIYer knows, what is supposed to be a 10 minute job to swop the cylinders :xrofl: becomes a 2 hour job. In this case because the hole in the door wasn't big enough and it is a tough ancient thing made out of some hardwood that Noah rejected as too unworkable for his Ark. Also my mini hacksaw had been nicked by gremlins.

Phew, job done, with the satisfaction of not having to call out a locksmith and pay him a week's pension. So, more beer money!
