We got our new car today too - Chrysler Ypsilon in nice flashy red! :thumb:

We went to Doncaster this morning and collected it, very glad we went for red as it looks very sporty and not a large as it does in white, plus there wasn't any additional charge for the red colour. I asked why the white one is £500 more and was told that because it can fade they have to put 3 coats of paint on, hence the extra cost.

The car drives like a dream - very smooth and quiet although it does have a nice 'growl' when first accelerating - it really moves when needed although we didn't push it as it only had 3 miles on it when we picked it up!

If I was to give it a name it would probably be Yeti as the registration is YT13.

Today I bought an induction hob from Aldi. Used it to cook dinner tonight and will use it in the van when on hook up. Unfortunately I only have one saucepan that will work on it!! I feel a shopping spree coming on.

a desiccant dehumidifier on a bit of a whim.

We've only just started motor caravanning but on our weekends away I'm very aware of how hard it is to keep towels, dogs, vans etc. dry so I picked up a cheap refurbished one off of eBay. It *looks* like it'll fit in the currently wasted space behind the drivers seat which will be be very handy.

More power hungry than a condenser dehumidifier but reportedly much better at low temp and as electricity isn't metered at sites, it's not a worry.

A Kipor ig2600.......started off at an ig1000 then convinced myself over a couple of weeks I needed a 2600!! :Rofl1:

Oh well hope I can lift it and store it in the van OK(no choice on an Elddis 115) It will have to wedge between the fridge & lower storage cupboard & I will chain it to the handle on there. Not that that handle would stop much of 26 KG under gravitational energy going anywhere:Eeek: but its better than nothing:Eek!:

A new cab carpet and underfelt :BigGrin:

Omnistor 4m awning...the van is now complete and we are broke. Thank goodness it is pay day.
