Sounds like a great plan Paul.

I think so its not until May and we had money over from our holiday we had to abandon so its affordable I am not poluted with cash. we know the Hotel for 8 nights is faultless and think the other will be as nice maybe nicer and it will break the holiday up. Proberly book it for this coming week when our numbers come up trumps on the syndicate.

Fancied an Avtex tv combo for a while but winced at the price but a guy on eBay has the AVTEX L218DRS new on a "buy it now" for £329.00 plus a tenner for delivery. I hit the "make offer" button and got it for £300.00.
Next on the list, a Snipe 2 ............... pretty please my lovely darling wife.

We have just returned from having the upholstery on the 'van changed.
90% of it was fine but the drivers seat was starting to fray, and, after ten years it deserved the upgrade.

The photos don't truly capture the two tone blue we chose as the colours but we are so glad we didn't stray far, colourwise, from the original cloth (minus of course the design orange in the pattern.) It compliments the rest of the interior very well.

I was going to buy a Samsung 8 the other day but when I read the reviews I was a bit disillusioned with it. It seems from the reviews that the 'glass' on the new Samsung phones (7 up) are prone to breaking even if dropped on to a carpet. I hasten to add I didn't look up the one you've bought I wanted just the standard phone rather then the bigger one you've bought which looks amazing and very beautiful(y). Take good care of it and don't forget to get a cover:).

And the beauty of an Avtex is that the warranty will transfer to your good self

View attachment 190074 was hopping i did not have to buy this ,,,, DPF fillter £750 will be driving a lot faster in a lower gear every month from now on ....
If it was blocked it could be cleared the same way as the old two stroke motorcycle exhausts, Same crap, and same method, only on the DPF you do not have to worry about the chrome finish. Take it off and then stick a hot gas torch up the end and then when it is going well introduce air or preferably oxygen, I used to use an ox acetylene torch and GENTLY get it going with that turn off the fuel gas and wait. IT MIGHT burn out the matrix but if it was getting replaced you have lost Zilch anyway When it stops SMOKING I mean (SMOKING, BIG TIME) then the oil and carbon will be gone and hopefully the insides might still be there. I used to wrap the bike exhausts in soaked towels to keep the outside chrome from blueing. Worked in the 60's should still work now .

Whilst on here I have just spent a small fortune on a new all singing all dancing, TIG welding invertor AC/DC pulsed, and balanced, should be capable of doing all the jobs I need it for, once I have learnt all the new bells and whistles on those features. Have used a fair bit of Argon already on seat time with it, somewhat different from my old analogue transformer machine. made a new plane exhaust system so far, but aluminium takes a bit more practice before setting out on more ambitious projects. Cost a bomb but might make it back in the end.

Yesterday I decided to get rid of my automatic batwing aerial as the electronics had gone phut for the second time.
I have ordered a Rayzar aerial which is from Winegard and self contained so no more having to remember to lower it if it ever works!

Enjoy your new toy

Thanks, I'm sure we will. After a couple of previous vans we now know what we wanted and for us this ticked pretty well all the boxes.

The wife must think this one is for the long term as I have the go ahead to add some goodies to it like a snipe 2 and solar ..... looks like I might be spending at the NEC in a couple of weeks if I can get a deal or two there.

We bought a Thule Quickfit and put it up fo the first time on a long weekend at Haltwhistle. So glad I bought the extra restraints as the reported 20 mph winds turned to be over 30 !!

Supposed to take 15 mins to put up but took me over 2 hours, however a lot of that was once only actions. Will see how quick next time !

Well maybe not this week, but we've just been and picked up our (new to us) Hymer B565 Starline which we sold out souls for at the Lincoln show 2 weeks ago. We went there with only the intention of buying a new step!

So this week we traded in our faithfull and trust worthy Bessacarr E560 and drove away with what we consider to be our ideal motorhome and we can't stop smiling.

I suppose now I've got to get my head round "Elektroblocks" & "Tec-towers and the like!
