THIS week I bought

Well maybe not this week, but we've just been and picked up our (new to us) Hymer B565 Starline which we sold out souls for at the Lincoln show 2 weeks ago. We went there with only the intention of buying a new step!

So this week we traded in our faithfull and trust worthy Bessacarr E560 and drove away with what we consider to be our ideal motorhome and we can't stop smiling.

I suppose now I've got to get my head round "Elektroblocks" & "Tec-towers and the like!

Ordered one of these on Sunday and it arrived today:

Amazon product ASIN B00G7LQA1E
It is remarkably small and light, inexpensive and has a capacity of 2Tb. I need a good amount of external storage because I take a lot of digital photographs in RAW format and I don’t want to clog up the drive on my laptop.

My cunning plan is to store my photographs on this drive, backing them up to the cloud. That way I have them stored in two places, can still access them even when an internet connection isn’t available and have plenty of memory capacity left on my computer for other things.

Some of you may think that this is a cunning plan of the Baldrick variety. I would simply say to you that “Stretto Boy On Computing” isn’t the world’s worst selling book for nothing. Wish me luck.

Went to order myself a new camera bag, then noticed a great offer on a lens I was after, then saw another lens, then noticed a cracking little travel tripod.

Feeling guilty for ordering it all, I figured I'd better tell the Missus. She took one look at my face, said "what have you bought, wait, I'll guess a lens and a new bag"

I swear she reads my emails :)

At least you got away with the second lens and the tripod! Which reminds we, I need a sturdier tripod and a camera rucksack . . . . And . . . . :) Happy snapping!

This week I bought a MOT for my tow car and my motorhome. Both went through with no problems, only couple of advisors on the motorhome.

Good idea (y)

I've got thousands of old pics stored on an older, fatter, 1Tb Seagate.

Don't need them as I am still young and fit, though need to be careful of banging my head on the ceiling now when on rumpy pumpy duty, but as I am a bit of a martyr, I am positive that I will just carry on through the pain. :D2:p:D

Er, well, look what hubby's just bought ...

I see what your saying......... a bit of reverse cowboy, I'll let the boss know. :D:sneaky:

Love that colour combination, works well, enjoy.
Yes looks lovely doesn't it, a special gold paint job done by Merc as a one off so AFAIK there isn't another one out there, we do like to be different! :)

After problems with dual USB 12V chargers, which I felt could have been caused by not being able to push them far enough in due to their shape, I bought this
IMG_20171023_163817.jpg

Only tried it in a car 12V socket so far but seems good - 4x 2.4A USB sockets (Argos code 580/7239)

My first pair of varifocals glasses, argghh making me feel a cross between sea sick and drunk.... Opticians did say could say a few weeks to get used to them. No shit sherlock.

Fresh water sensor, Milenco Trident ramps, cupboard door hinges, plywood, bit of square angle iron, fabric dye, blind cord, sticky stuff remover, guttering strip, TV bracket, Motorhome wifi stuff, CBE fridge fans kit, window handle, leatherette and wadding, Collinite 476, Meguiars PlastX...

Can you tell we have just bought a motorhome?! :D

Persisted with mine and got used eventually. Problem was that circles became oval, and water seemed top be able to flow uphill. All's fine now, until I take them off. Now the mug in the bathroom appears oval. I believe they've damaged my eyes. All future prescriptions will measure my eyes in their new (confused) condition!

Just in the process of sending the below back to the seller for a full refund (including return postage) ... he unfortunately updated the system before sending it out and the graphics are now playing up! No reason to disbelieve him and he's accepting it back without a problem ... might just stick with my old Samsung note book as it never fails me (famous last words!).

Just bought a 2 month old tablet/keyboard combo for a great price to replace my existing 10" netbook that I use in the camper ...
