The road to Portugal.

but surely that pic is the open sea.
if not sorry but the sun looks to be setting far away over open ocean with no surf.
Only waves about 4feet,but quite an undertow.
 
but great pics anyway. you have a good time. lots to see .
these days i always carry a wooden old fashioned belly board . great for playing in the waves .
cant do the malibu anymore ,havnt for years but always belly boarding .
still have some from the early 60,s that was my mum and dads . my lad broke my one from being a kid a few years ago. but great bits of kit for playing at being kids . hee hee.

Another great day at Pego do Altar barragem,had a ride around on my MTB then a swim in the afternoon. Dinners on and a boat is getting pulled out,sounds on. :whistle:
 
take it you went in from santa suzana .
nice there and a font on the way on the right or used to be.

very often thats blocked off in winter only the end of the road bit is available there.
used to be good years ago at pego and parkin the old ladies hard ground . but she died and it got a bit worse year after year.
mind its an interesting ride around the lake if you still can . we did it on motorbikes about 10 yrs ago. at times you wonder if you will make it .
theres some nice perch fish to be had sometimes .
have fun its making us all want to load up and join you.
 
heres some of the posh end at pego over the dam. you might meet ramero with his luxury shephards hut and tractor . mind havnt seen him for awhile .
plus a view over the dam to the low side.

Pego do Altar tonight,wind has been a bit of a problem but dies down at night.

After an almost deserted Pego we are now at Foz do Arelho on a front pitch thanks to ex Funster Grath. The aire is really busy and it now has electric on one half of the site.
 
Well that is the end of this thread as we are now in Spain at Baiona thanks to @PhilandMena

yes i think i gave that google earth bit before . we call it cabo udra but its not quite cabo udra . its a beach on the way there . great place .
you know my travels , hug the sea . but brandomil pic nic area is fine . by the roman bridge . one night or so. usually otters in the river so its interesting . first went there about 30 yrs ago. still love it .
