The road to Portugal.

Moved to Tavira today, nice town. Parked on the ground behind the municipal market, pulled the bike out to go along the road to scope out my next stop. Space there so will move tomorrow.

Will go to Camperserv on Monday and get the part for my awning, looks like I will need it as the temperature is going to ramp up next week.

used to might still be a nice area to park inland from tavira out at pego de inferno. havnt used it for a few years but was ok. not far from the lake .

Cmon@bigtree it surely didn't cost much more than that it you have been shopping in the wrong place :-)

O.69 euros
.69 is for Conde Noble, gutrot. T'was 4.49€. I met a Portuguese guy last year who was a bit of a connisiuer and he said to spend around the 4 euro mark and you wouldn't go wrong. Not been disappointed so far,in fact Pingo Doce has a sale on just now and I'm going to pop over tomorrow and top up me Cave. :wine:

saw bottles of conde noble in uk only this week. something like 3.45 pounds for a 70cl bottle .
conde nobles ok mix with gaseosa or cheap lemonade , come on cant expect alot for 62c well in spain . was better when it was alot cheaper ha ha .

And today's spot is next to a bridge that makes the weirdest noise sounds like wind blowing through the tension cables
Nice and very clean Aires 15 minutes walk up into what looks like a Russian concrete jungle but when you get into town it's very pleasant with some lovely squares and restaurants

Rúa José Malvar Figueroa, 46D, 36002 Pontevedra, Spain

Footnote, it's still hissing down but big changes to weather on Monday

And can I just say that you seem to have been badly advised!
I saw two blond ladies in Silves aires ,drinking that Condes noble in public!!
And they seemed to be enjoying it.
The Portuguese gay that you met last year sure has an unusual
Way of choosing wine??(by price???)
If you want to stay close to Tavira and not be moved on by the
police ,santa luzia is magic, toilet emptying and water for 2 euros .
One of the last beautiful places on the Algarve now that the French have started going home!
Excellent cycling for miles, I am a bit biased!!
We were there a few weeks ago and I wish I had stayed!!

Sunset over Tavira.

Where in Santa Luzia charges €2 for the services you describe, I know of only one place now and as far as I am aware it is free and without services?

The token can be bought at the post office.
The "dump" is at the triangle, beside the wee pumping station!!
Sorry I missed you, will be back down in a few months to buy that beer.
The triangle remains free as I have given up on trying to turn it into an Aires!!

Thanks for this one, although we had passed it last year it is smashing and will return with SWMBO later in the week.

I think the local football team has won today as they are going through the village honking their horns and waving their scarfs out of the windows.

Should have said I moved to Santa today, lovely coastal village.
Thanks @glastry

Thought it was all about getting the toll money, not about the Chief Sky Fairy lover.

No, definitely enhanced security for the visit, it was in the Algarve Daily News earlier in the week.

mind portugal is getting into financial problems so the extra tolls do help them.
the eu is doomed .
