The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

Your charger is not suitable as it has an automatic desulphuration phase that charges at 15.2v. If that cuts in it's far too high for Litium the BMS will probably cut in and save the battery so it won't charge anyway.
As I said absolute emergency, may just pop the ctek in just in case.

Yes he's going through the skylight . Will attach rope to panel ..I'll hold/push it up the telescopic ladder as far as I can while he pulls up rope . Then I'll go on scaffold at rear of van and grab one side while he grabs other and lift it in to place. Then we need to mark round it.. prep and glue etc .. it will be a little awkward but we'll figure it out somehow.

P.s he's no been in one piece for 46 years lol .

If he breaks my skylight he'll be in 2 pieces when I've finished with him lol
Why does All this reminds me of Laurel and Hardy??😂😂😂

Not sure if you have Instagram but if you do look up "garage tafroute " basically they have a compound you park in. .. usually about 20 other campers , vans , trucks . They do all the prep work outside , then they have a new purpose built big shed they do the spray painting in . It's very basic and rough and ready but they turn out some good jobs . Baring in mind some of the absolute sheds the Germans take too them for restoring Doc will be an easy job to them. So you live Inthe van on their compound while it gets done. The actual spray time in booth will only be a few hours and we will just go for a walk or something during that bit. The underside will get painted outside in the compound.
Crikey!
Now THATS a service!

Does cleaning them make much/any difference in performance? Panels on houses never get cleaned but I guess at an aaangle so water washes off more rather than just sitting on them.
The problem arises when it does not rain. I don't remember the last time it rained here, so clean the panel every two weeks.

Here in spain my mate has panels on the house roof.I eventually convinced him to A) clean them then B) take a reading before & after & the difference in input was over double

As you say the lack of rain here doesn't help. When I was in the Uk this summer I checked twice & neither time was there even a speck of dust on the panels.

Didn’t need rope, me up on roof Tam pushing panel up the ladder. It went on a treat and all went very well as I knew it would…
Tam worries too much and about everything…🤪

I also did his front jointing strip while up there and yes funflair it is a right sticky mess to deal with and wasn’t fun at all… one of those jobs that you wish you never started…🤬🤬🤯🤯
I’m sure Tam will post pictures later as he’s polishing the van with my mechanical mop…

I’ll be the first to say I had a piss on his roof…😆🤣 as I’m sure the bugger took a picture..😎

Anyway I’m now going to the spar for a swim and sauna…🥵

Are you sure he only had a pee as in one photo you are holding 🧻 toilet paper !!!!!!!!

Looks great chaps.
Don’t you think the air / wind will get under the panels where the Ali does not go right to the edge of the panels & lift the panel when your motoring?
I seriously doubt it. I'm no aerodynamics expert but the front is like a brick.. the air will go up and over the van .. there's several skylights and an air-conditioning unit there before the panel and then there's brackets the full length on each side and the long brackets front and rear . There's less than an inch from the base of the panel to the roof.

Many only fit short brackets 100/150 mm long whereas this has 1500mm long brackets along the front and rear. Bearing In mind I'm also never above 60/62 mph I can't see those coming off anytime soon
