The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

Yep it's the Waverly, been trying to do it for years finally managed it.
Used to do booze cruises on it from Barry, no idea where we went! edit : it went from Penarth, apparently I didn't even know where we started from!

Anyway I thought I'd be charitable this afternoon and sent the woman who wanted a hab check a wee message offering some advice . Hopefully stop her buying a leaky kontiki on her experienced friends advice

The Waverley runs all over the place now.
I went on the website a few weeks back to book a trip and it's a minefield trying to work out dates and locations.
Will have a look again ,it was years ok I was last on it.

Cheers Cris 🍻

I don't know what age your potential buyers have been but younger people often don't do phonecalls these days. They are much more comfortable doing everything by instant messaging or email. Tbh I'm not that young but a bit phone phobic myself and will always go for messaging over a call unless I have to. Selling anything online is such a pain though good luck!

End of day I am extremely confident that the first serious person i get who comes to view moby will snap him up .

The rest I don't care about , I've no interest in enticing buyers. I want someone who will appreciate and use the van and not go on campsites twice a year

I can’t understand all the posts about hab checks. Doesn’t matter what anyone thinks or wants it’s Tams van and his decision.

I totally agree with him on this but if if didn’t I wouldn’t post about it unless it would raise a laugh lol

I've never bought a van with a hab check and never had one done since my frankia as most of the time the one doing it is a clown. The few folk on here that get them done is because of a warranty

This is a 26 year old motorhome that is far from original. I can only see problems letting any so called professional near it.

P.si just bought a van that the fridge didn't work and the gas system was incomplete 😂😂
Do you still have the shelves from that knackered fridge Tam, I could do with a couple? Ours are a bit rusty.

And it would be worth as much to any buyer than one they had done.

It doesn't give any guarantees.

If there was a problem then like an mot inspector they'd just say " it was OK when I checked it"

Pointless they are
My sister bought a motorhome at the beginning of this year.
It had had a hab check the day before she bought it.
Paperwork said the gas appliances had been checked and worked fine and were safe.
She got the van home and found that the fridge and fire didn't work on gas.
The dealer hadn't demonstrated these to her because the van didn't have a gas bottle.
When contacted the dealer claimed that the appliances were fine when tested and that the hab check guy brought his own gas bottle with him.
