I don't think much of the way that panel is wired, I always keep the connectors out of site under the panel. My roofs still spotless
Your making more work for yourself, don't say you were not warned!I don't think much of the way that panel is wired, I always keep the connectors out of site under the panel.
Bit of a pain though if you need to access them. This is a domestic panel and the cables come out the centre of the panel not one end . .I don't think much of the way that panel is wired, I always keep the connectors out of site under the panel.
are you mad you can never have enough alcohol!!!!
I use bigger trunking and stagger the connectorsI don't think much of the way that panel is wired, I always keep the connectors out of site under the panel.
It was connected in to the main 12v pos / neg feed at the back of the fridgeI take it the 12V feed to the fans & controllers was taken from the Fridge itself. Please ask Uncle Lenny Where did he pick up the feed from, at the back of the FF control panel at the front, or further on down the bottom at the rear of the Fridge where most are feed from?
Interesting to see the internal fan controller fitted inside the Fridge, never seen that method before, normally see both controllers, inside & outside, fitted together in a cupboard somewhere convienient.
Many Thanks
LES
Bloody hell, his new van must be made of polystyrene and balsa wood to stay under 3.5t with that lotDya think uncle Lenny HB has enough alcohol? View attachment 973429
How did he get the wires to the back of the fridge , did he drill a hole or was there an orifice there ?It was connected in to the main 12v pos / neg feed at the back of the fridge
I leave mine in place all the time , I thought in the U.K. you sometimes leave 1 grill in place as it can be too cold , i don’t think the fans in place will make much difference to airflow when not in useIs the panel with the 2 fans installed whilst in hotter climates or is it in place all of the time.
I ask this as I made up a similar unit for use in hot climes but revert to a standard grill in UK.
My thoughts are that the modified grill is going to have reduced air-flow if fans are not running.
It's there all the time , as soon as the rear of the fridge gets too hot the fans come on automatically. So it should never have not enough air flow.Is the panel with the 2 fans installed whilst in hotter climates or is it in place all of the time.

It's never been under 3.5tBloody hell, his new van must be made of polystyrene and balsa wood to stay under 3.5t with that lot
Already a hole there behind the fins , we removed fins to replace the paste anyway and fed wire through the same hole .How did he get the wires to the back of the fridge , did he drill a hole or was there an orifice there ?
And that job of replacing the thermo paste, made a significant difference to the cooling down of our Dometic AES 7501, and more noticeable when abroad in warmer climes. The top fans were already installed.we removed fins to replace the paste anyway and fed wire through the same hole .
Im sure that’s what he said it’s plated at??It's never been under 3.5t
Yes understood but also concerned with the effect of dampness on fan motor units. It's there all the time , as soon as the rear of the fridge gets too hot the fans come on automatically. So it should never have not enough air flow.
