The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

Never polished a motor in my life, what's it for
A bit of pride in the next most expensive item you will buy, compared to a property Chas.........which you would be expected to look after to maintain it's value. ;)

will only be the same again after the next trip.
No, ie, if done properly, it will last you many months.. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. ;)

No where near my most expensive item, never bought a motor that wasn't going to the scrap yard next stop apart from one 20 grand motorhome that I couldn't wait to get rid of.
I have completely no pride in motors, as long as they start that's the end of it.

For me it IS the most expensive thing I own , its also an asset I can't afford to lose or devalue drastically during my ownership, so I look after it.

Admittedly there's actually a bit comfort when you have an old banger you don't have to bother about, that 3 grand iveco I bought a few years ago and did round Greece etc with I didn't have to bother about as not a lot of money. Even moby was a cheap van and imperfect paint etc so not a huge deal if it had got damaged or more scruffy.

This van I have now whilst being 20 years old is in lovely condition and I want to keep it that way and improve it so it lasts me a long time or when I sell it I don't lose a load of money on it .

I also don't want to look like a tramp parked up somewhere lol.

It puts many newer vans to shame as a result.

It was lovely and quiet parked here In lancing ,then the other day this bloke in a fancy new cathargo parked right next to me like he was French and now he's in and out the thing at all hours, alarm beeping , blue lights flashing etc..tapping on the van disturbing me dogs ...a right noisy bugger

wouldn't like to be parked up beside him on an aire 🤪😉🤣🤣🤣

But he is fitting me fridge fans today so I'll forgive him lol.

So you think N&B Flair is going to stop that look? 😧

The Arto has not done it for me.
Maybe that's because folks know that the Arto is a much lower spec Geoff. Just saying like. 🤷‍♂️ .................... :getmecoat:

I'm the opposite. Don't clean the van much and glad it's not so shiny and flash looking as when we bought it new as I felt quite out of place sitting in such a posh van when I'm used to driving a works van. Don't like being the poshest van in a place I'd rather blend in with the hippy vans but that isn't really going to happen with the big white box.

Think I need to find a jet wash after these shitty French roads 😒
