The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

I am surprised that, Funsters who say they spend quite a lot of money and support the local community while staying on Aires, need such a large fridge freezer? šŸ˜„
Not all aires are in reach of a shop or bar, some are in the middle of nowhere so provisions are needed.

You need a large fridge to keep beer and wine cold and a freezer for ice cubes for the gin and tonic wherever you stop!

Maybe that's because folks know that the Arto is a much lower spec Geoff. Just saying like. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø .................... :getmecoat:

Sorry Geoff, but I couldn't resist the temptation.

Cheers,

Jock. ;)
Jock

So that is one thing that you have in common with Oscar Wilde, who could 'Resist anything but temptation'.

Do you also wear a green carnation?

Yep in Lydd.

She has my sympathy. I was based at Lydd airport, now pretentiously named as 'Ashford International'.

I could not bear the thought of living on the Marsh, so chose Rye.

What temp is the inside one set at ?please Iā€™m struggling to understand . ThankyoušŸ‘
It's set to 6Ā° so if the temp goes above 6 the fan comes on. .takes it down to around 5Ā° then switches off. Fully adjustable though so you can set it to whatever you like.

The outside one is trial and error because the temp sender is h

I've never at any time said I support the local community, the local community should support itself lol. I do my shopping in supermarkets.

I also rarely stay on aires it's mostly carparks and beaches šŸ˜

Done that this morning
I don't know if I mentioned it before or not Tam, but my panel hasn't faltered once since I changed that wee green battery.
The blooming clock display seems to have a mind of it's own though, ie, it keeps great time for weeks, then suddenly loses time. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Aye my clock seems to gain 20 minutes every so often . But the panel has switched itself off a couple of times too..I'm hoping the battery change cures that.

I once, many years ago before many motorways etc, had to find Lydd Airport with a Coach load of American passengers after ALL the London Airports were closed due to FOG.
The weather between London and Kent was much the same but, with only the help of one of the passengers and my paper map, we found it 4+hrs after leaving London.

Sadly, Lydd by then was also fog bound so we had to find out way back to a London hotel!

What a difference a mobile phone and SatNav would have made!

Iā€™ve seen that photo before!

That obviously incorrect statement on the front of the white motorhome lol
Made me laugh this drab afternoon
That statement is obviously about the Driver, plus its rumoured, when called upon, he can be very "Ultra light" on his feet also.;):giggle:

Is the panel with the 2 fans installed whilst in hotter climates or is it in place all of the time.
Mine is in place all the time
My thoughts are that the modified grill is going to have reduced air-flow if fans are not running.
They always run via the thermostat set to come on at 44Āŗc & off at 38Āŗc.
Yes understood but also concerned with the effect of dampness on fan motor units.
Mine have been in on this van for 4 years & never had a problem? they were still ok on the last van after 6 years, when I got rid.
I could not bear the thought of living on the Marsh,
They have ruined it now by allowing so much new building.Preferred it just sheep

I don't have a thermostat on mine which would be something else to go wrong.
You also have the advantage of living in a warm climate where most electrical items benefit from.
