The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

Same here Tam. Ours is registered on the V5 as an IVECO Niessman. 🤷‍♂️

One quote for a new alternator shot up by over £100, and reduced the warranty to12 x months only, when they discovered the alternator would be fitted to a Motorhome. WT? 🤷‍♂️ Needless to say they didn't get my business, but Quinton Hazell Direct with their 24 x month warranty, got it instead. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
Mine is

IVECO Ford campar

And yes that's the correct spelling 🤣🤣

Didn't know Quinton Hazell were still going, they've been around a long time! 👍

That's what I thought too Owen. That and the fact that the 150A alternator was new, with a 24 x month warranty, and no requirement to return the old one as an exchange unit, which is still serviceable and is now a spare. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Aye .

I can't get a 150amp for mine . Seems 120 is the highest. I was looking the other week just incase
When I took the new one out the box and compared it with an old one that came off the 2.8TDi Ducato Hymer, there were both the same physically, apart from the output rating. 🤷‍♂️

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Hence the adjustments I have made to the headlamp beams, and changing the bulbs for those providing "up to" 200% more light. We'll see in January (pun intended), if my efforts have made a difference. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
What bulbs did you upgrade to Jock as it might be an idea to sort mine before I head over in December.
Cheers Cris 🍻

Osram Night Breaker 200 Cris, but I can't comment if they are any better or not, as I've not had the opportunity to drive in the dark yet. 🤷‍♂️ I changed both the dipped and the main beam bulbs.

My Morris Marina, parts bin model was usually in that state!
I had one as a company car in the early 80’s. Green with a black vinyl roof. Pile of poo! It took me a while to work out why other drivers were giving me “helpful comments”, until I realised that indicating left made the right hand indicator work, and vice versa. :ROFLMAO:

I had a 1.3 in 1973. It had a Triumph Herald gearbox. Reverse idler gear sheared off, later the alloy back end of the gearbox split in half going up Haldon Hill rendering it oil less in an instant. Universal joint on prop gave up another time! When it was going it was quick and could easily overtake a 1,8 that used to do the same commute to Newton Abbot from Harbertonford.

I had a 1979 Morris Marina Van it carried up to 10CWT so bit more than the Escort at the time. it did 80/85 MPh was too low geared in 4th to go any faster.
Then the new Ital was launched as a race car!...boy did we laugh:LOL:

Filled up my water tank and gave the motorhome a wash this morning before uncle Lenny HB gets back 😜🤫

Wanted it clean as I know he's gonna criticise lol. Bad enough he'll be inspecting my electrics.

But I'm quite disappointed, all that work I put in polishing and waxing it and one side is all black streaks 😔 I'd hoped it would only need a hosing off every couple of weeks for a while.

I suppose my microfiber mop isn't the best for washing it and I just used plain water but the streaks are stubborn.

But at least most of the road grime ive picked up over the last couple of weeks has been rinsed off.

I had planned on buggering off to Brighton for a couple of nights and returning Saturday but I need to stay here to receive the parcels I've got coming. Shocks and tuning box . And I've to go back to opticians tomorrow to collect my specs.

I used my new food grade collapsible hose I bought....and I have to say Just smiffy was right ....its a complete pain in the ass ti roll that back up..

Black streaks come off really easy with baby wipes the cheap ones from Lidl or Aldi, also brilliant for bugs and flies.
