The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

Well at least he didn't say "all done giz yer money" and then you find it's no different and they keep trying and still no different and eventually you get your money back but only after they have reinstalled the standard map which is no different to their alleged remap map, don't ask me how I know ;)
Aye there is that I guess.

It drives mostly OK, just the hills are a bit of a pain. Unfortunately there's a lot of hills where I like to go.

Perhaps someone is telling you to leave well alone?

At least he has changed nothing from the original design that might have gone wrong when you were in Morocco.
You'll just have to use your gears more? 🤔
Don't like to say I told you so, but I did say that about ten pages back, and when he was here.
My thing on this is if it's running, leave it alone.

i have a VW FWD Passat that has adjustable tracking on rear wheels.
I think many front wheel drive motors have adjustable tracking and camber on rear . Not many rear wheel drive though.

Rear wheels don't even get balanced on a dually

Do you have any salt to spare? I've got a few wounds to rub it in! 😐

Actually Charlie be honest you LOVE to say I told you so .....its your favourite thing to do ya miserable sod 🤣

Telt ye before remaps are normal practice now.

They don't harm the vehicle its actually designed to have that power in the first place but many are deliberately tuned down by the manufacturer because you pay more for the higher performance models.

Vw was a prime example

The t4 tdi was available in 88bhp ,102bhp, 130bhp and 150bhp

Same engine same parts , only the 88bhp had different turbo and smaller intercooler but easy to change . All could be remapped to 150bhp. Every one I owned was tuned to 150bhp and the difference was night and day.

If everyone who bought a vehicle just left it as it was there would be no improvements to anything .

I don't want the van to be a racecar I just want it to cope with its own weight going up hills

Why is it if I say something I'm rubbing it in but if others do it's good advice.
I told him a fortnight ago to leave it alone , now he is in the same position he would have been if he had took my advice but saved himself a lot of stress and running about.

The latest daily won't remap through the OBD so has to be a pin connection straight into the ECU socket, even then not all tools will connect and write the remap, and then some will think they have but really something is still preventing the map from changing parameters, I think it is still a bit hit and miss to be fair.

Just get on your winter trip, change gear a few more times than you might otherwise and then reevaluate your position when you get back next year ;)

Look on the bright side, with all this traveling you've been doing lately, you are getting your money's worth from the road tax you have to pay and were complaining about a few weeks back! 😄

This lot just arrived

Think there's more to come

You just have to have a sedate drive like the rest of us old codgers, besides it give you more time to admire the scenery…😎
🤣🤣 lol like you EVER drive slow. I've no probs with how the van drives most of the time .. its just a bit shite on steep inclines , I'd like a bit more grunt .

But I guess it's better than the euramobil etc was so that's something.

I was looking forward to a bit more power that's all

I forgot your fridge didn't work.£29,500😂
Fridge works perfect , I've actually not had any problems now it's mostly parked level lol . I think it was Just smiffy driveway it didn't like .. should have had it on levellers 🤣

We’re will you fit that inside?
I think it's getting mounted in front of the fins .

I'm not sure lol uncle Lenny HB is the knowledgeable one with this.. I'm just paying for them he's doing the technical bit.

It's just to give it a bit help in warmer climates .

More money than sense as my poor old Gran used to say! 😄
