One more sleep. Van is fixed got to pick it up this morning all docs and new accommodation sorted. My uncle turned up yesterday saying he was worried about snow on Saturday. I have a feeling he is laying the ground to call me and say hello can't take me. I think he is regretting offering now .I am going to call him today and tell him I'm taking the car It is the first time that someone else would take me to airport and it makes me very uncomfortable he offered to be helpful I said yes because I didn't want to offend him .
I am so looking forward to doing as little as possible for the next few weeks

No flying but at present should be near to on time take off. 45 minutes to take off and we are still in departure lounge with no announcement so its going to be late.

Any one know of a good car wash???
I went to Denia today via Javea, lovely run out until I meet Spaniard driving like an Italian thinking he was in the UK. So get out of his way the ns. Passenger side of the hire car met some branches if I don't get the marks off before returning it they mag try to charge me. I have got full insurance but would rather not go down that route. If not it could mean me washing it with bottled water and hotel shampoo.

There is a self service car wash/ garage up near Torreta camp site just past Maesy Maecs supermarket,on the same side as the Tropical bar.

Villasol has two wash bays just inside the gate. We have used them on our last visit and as best as I can recall, a euro slot machine for the water which is supplied by a hose. We just went to the bog and got hot water in our plastic pail and washed the outside in no time.

Thanks folks is only a fiat 500 so will take no time it is just annoying but then again the car does look like it's been rallying I shall try your suggestions the directions look easy thank you

Well folks thanks again all sorted did not look half as bad this morning a sock hotel shampoo and it's rubbed out now all need is to wash the rest so it matches will take there later this week

It's not ours but we have been to Benidorm a number of times over the years, something for everyone there.

I couldn't spend more than a few days there though.

We spend one day in Benidorm, always in fear of being ran over by mobility scooters , then we go back to Albir, where they say the Brits go to Benidorm and the Dutch and the Germans come to Albir .

Fiat 500 goes anywhere parking the plain I little more difficult

cheeky buggers at ghe hotel want 5€ a day to park the car when street parking is free.reception staff don't like telling you about free parking.

Had a little wobble today about getting home so booked pcr test in preparation for return flight say at present only need lft but not taking any chances in case they change their minds
One clinic closed until 17th so that's no good and the other fully booked already !!
79€ which is not too bad now the most important thing is that it stays sunny

It was closed the last time we looked. You have to go up to new one on the top road.

I've sent them an email asking the question. Also, I received an email from them this morning offering me the option of an express registration and check in. It also required full payment and referred to Bungalows. In the past I have usualy paid at the end of each month for the time spent ! I've deleted their email.

I eventually made the decision today to cancel my month is benidorm and other parts of Spain.

To be honest the covid stuff is a pain but I've not had too much work for the last 5 weeks and just as I was due to sail (28th Dec) we get busy so I don't really want to turn away the hours.

Sailing is cancelled and refund received from vilasol.

Gutted but I think I've made the right call.
