Having spent 4 days and nights without services a move away from our lovely spot 50.yards from the beach seemed necessary.

Quick walk round the picturesque village and getting bread from the shop revealed a lovely little village.

We stayed overnight at the train station at Prat de Comte which is 8 km and 15 minute drive or hours cycle back to the town. Hilly and winding.

Olot Girona via verde with secluded waterfall swimming spots

We came to Esteve last night for another free Aire with 6 places, free dump, 50 cents for a cassette clean and electricity at 5 euros for 24 hours.
Very quiet night with 5 of us here.

But beware the one in Spain between Alcaniz and Tortosa - it’s a beautiful track and some stunning scenery. But there are lots of tunnels, some up to 700m and very dark. Which for those of us with ebikes with feeble and badly aligned lights is not good news, particularly when you meet someone coming the other way and end up crashing over the wooden kerb and smashing yourself up!

But for those who are properly set up I can thoroughly recommend Camping La Terra Alta in the wonderfully named Bot - it’s an excellent little site with direct access to the Via Verde, and is ACSI (on the app, not yet in the book.)

Just rereading and we were there a couple of days ago so 3 or 4 posts above this one.
If travelling uphill from Xerta the first 30 tunnels were 90% lit. After Prat de Comte however it's pitch black.
You can get a lift to Horta with your bike and just cycle downhill.

Bejar Via Verde

This runs from just above Bejar to Galisteo, about 80Kms. Bejar is also a handy stopover just off the Plata Motorway Between Slamanca and Caceres. We rode about 15kms of it between Bejar and Banos. Surface was hard packed gravel easily wide enough for 2 bikes to pass. We encountered 3 tunnels...
