Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

It's a puppy thing, it won't go on for long.
That photo of the cycle path made me laugh. Typically EU, directive says build a cycle path no matter there are trees.
He's been really good at going outside but sometimes they are both just full of nonsense and don't go.

They were outside for ages aswell then I brought them in they were lying on bed while I had a shower came out and the wee sod had peed on the sleeping bag

That's twice now and as I have sod all other washing to do I gotta use a laundry for just one item.

Luckily i have a 2nd sleeping bag till then.

Don't know whether it woukd work for you. We have two dogs and when they go out for a final pee, we take one at a time, otherwise they sometimes just play and forget why they're there, then might wake us in the middle of the night because they need to go

Yeah I've tried that too and it worked to start with but now milo has come out his she'll more he still easily distracted. Outside a big adventure with lots to see , back inside boring oh that's right I need a pee.

And this is like after spending 20-25 walking around outside with him.

Other than physically wringing him out I'm stumped.

Jade isn't a big problem because she can literally go from 7 or 8 in the evening till next morning holding a pee despite being taken out for one.

Sat outside autosparks now.
Boss that I spoke to yesterday isn't here yet

Currently 5 men trying to get an fridge unit on a fiat Ducato working lol

Bitches can go for a long time with holding pee, they have to when nursing.
Dogs are a different matter they will pee up anything!
I would take one at a time and try whistling gently thru your teeth to get Milo to pee specially around lamp posts, trees all the sort of places other dogs pee!
He will learn, eventually but it might still be an insecurity thing with him seeing as how he’s a bit clingy!

Yeah at the minute his biggest inspiration to per is when jade pees he immediately will per too.
But of course If she doesn't need to go then it's trying to get him to go.

If I walk with him he just looks around ...If I stop he sits down and looks at me lol.

It might help if you can train Milo to recognise a word or phrase that he associates with having a pee. I trained Nix to pee on command by saying ‘have a pee’ each time she was actually in the act of peeing. She soon got to associate the phrase with the act and at bedtime it’s just a case of letting her out, saying ‘have a pee’ and she does. None of that walking about for ages waiting for her to get around to it.

That's what we have done with our two.

When I took them out for a pee, i tried to say nothing at all to them until they started, then just kept repeating my chosen command (we use the word "busy") over and over till they are done.
After a bit, we used the command as we went out, and re-inforced it it during the act...
Now when indoors, if you just say that one word, our boys get up and stand at the door, waiting to go out and pee

(y)Works for my son's young dog

Just say "Be a good girl" and let her straight out and she does one - or both(y)

I've been doing that since I got jade , everytime they pee I say good girl go pee pee

Makes not a bit of difference though neither of them will do a pee by me saying that ...they just look at me like I'm stupid.

Well the autospark was dissapointing ...I was hoping he would do a little investigating to establish it definately was alternator but he just said alternator needs replaced and phoned to get price ....that got him nowhere as there's several different ones for these vans so he then said I'd have to leave it so he could take alternator off to find out which one etc . Couldn't give me a price but said alternator may be €300 plus his Labour.

Both @gus-lopez and I have found them cheaper than that and I can't really leave the van with him so I think best option for now is to wait till I get back to lorca and try and change it ourselves ...once establishing that it is the alternator and not a wire to it etc.

So because solar is charging battery I'll visit alhama de Granada as planned , pop in and visit @Val 2 dogs and then I'll head back to lorca ....take a few days as I don't like driving for hours on end.

Hopefully I shouldn't have any probs driving there.

Regrettably SWMBO has trained our two to pee on command with 'go wee wees' . A bit of an embarrassment if anyones around. I try to arrange it so she has to do it
I guess since it works with others I'll just have to keep trying that but I spend around 20 mins every night before bed walking around saying "Go pee pee" I've done that 12 months now nearly lol and with no success

Tam surely you know that males, being one yourself, will pee in the most inappropriate places.

In the repsol garage near the airport at the minute doing laundry then a stop at mercadonna then heading to alhama de Granada....there's an aire there with services too which is handy

I'll see you later Tam, let me know if you are going to the Aire in Alhama and I'll drive in.
Do you plan to come out to the lake too?

I'm heading to the aire so I can visit the town etc...If really busy I won't stay there but will park at lake. If quiet I'll park on aire.

I'll let you know when I'm there

OK, I think you'll find the Aire is pretty quiet, it's a huge area that is really only used on odd occasionso other than the Friday market. The most level parking is right at the bottom end by the loos (which I am told are only unlocked on Fridays).
To my mind the dog walking from there isn't brilliant, tho I've never really tried it. Anyway see what you think and give me a shout, it only takes me 20 mins or less to drive in using my car.

That's me at the aire now

Right on lunch time so kettles on if you want a coffee :)

trees are the subject of a different eu directive and registed for subsidies

Maybe the command is wrong? Do you say good girl at other times? If so, then half of your command is confusing. We chose "busy' as we wouldn't expect to be saying that to a dog, and also because I didn't want to look a plonker saying "wee wee" in public :LOL:
The idea being that the only time the word "busy" is ever said directly to them is when they are peeing, and therefore is unambiguous

We used “be quick” it’s better than go wee wee.
But each to there own.
