Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

re the frenchie... was the van with the sat dish up there before he parked up? If they were then you would have thought Pierre would have had the decency to split the difference at least.
They came in together ...

Lots of space other side and basically all around the carpark there's only 7 vans here and it's a big space ....they parked with there doors facing each other they were last vans in ...the wee blue one came in about an hour before young German couple the girl was playing with jade for a bit.

It's weird I honestly will never understand the French motorhomes ...they never speak either

2 Spanish vans here the rest are German...I've spoke to them all

If he parked any closer he would be on the other side of your van !!
If you have a Genny with you might be worth putting it in the gap , to shield the noise from the other vans :sneaky::LOL:

That is just very odd - why would you park so close to someone when there is so much space?
No idea ...It's happened to me loads ..

It's like they think there's a van wanting to park on it's own lets go park as close as possible ..I struggled to get my deckchair back in the locker he's that close

You know what you should do? Get the dogs in, lock the hab door, let him see you set up the sat-nav, get a map out then drive forward and reverse back in to the same space only a little bit closer to him.

His wee French brain might explode!

Must be my aftershave .....I just hope he doesn't complain when my music goes on while I'm cooking.

I park away from everyone for a reason
Get the music on and cranked to max , don't wait until you're cooking , he deserves it 24 hrs a day . I'm beginning to realise why I might never go abroad in the van.
Remember , if he complains about music , f8ck off is the same in every language.

Couple of rattles with your chair on his van.

with 2 young lads the two dad's have guitars the two lads on harmonica and one woman on a tambourine but tapping it and they are brilliant ...one of the guys singing too
You have all the luck, on one Camper Stop a Dutch guy got his guitar out started playing and singing ( use the phase loosely) he even murdered Bob Dylan songs.
Didn't get the hint, me sat there reading with fingers in my ears.

When you first shaved the sides & cut the ponytail The wife thought you looked 10 years younger , Is your pony tail completely gone ? , it’s hard to tell as selfies are always from the front

Nah I've still got a ponytail ...It's not as long as it once was but still there.

Nearly lost it in castellon though as that barber didn't speak English.

It's more a topknot these days ha ha.

I'm gonna dye it blue

Now I know I'm daft Tam but I think if I were staying a couple of nights I'd move my van he would wind me up too much especially with the dog annoying yours.
I will never understand their thinking though.

Yeah if he doesn't leave this morning I'm going to make a point of moving over a bit while giving him evil eyes and head shaking:p

So far this morning I've heard them both get up, use the toilet, he's constipated ....and someone's banging every cupboard door in the van

Once he sees that haircut he should move. :D2

Likewise, I never understand why Frenchies feel the need to park so close. We’ve moved on a number of occasions because of this. We’ve also had them walking round the motorhome whilst discussing it loudly... looking into the garage, etc. Just bloody rude in my opinion!

Hopefully they’ll go today!

Yep it must have happened to me a dozen times now .....It's bad enough to park that close but to see a van with two small dogs and park right next to it with a massive gsd that he just lets roam around off the leash
So everytime it's out my two are barking and getting wound up.

I know there's no rules etc when wildcamping but is it too much to hope folk have a bit of common sense.

Think you do need to make a lot of noise and he might realise he needs space between you both. Maybe his friend , who arrived first, parked hoping he wouldn’t squeeze in, but he has.

Loving the photos. Is the dog transport still working out?

Thing is I feel bad making lots of noise as I try not to disturb other folk around . That's why I try to park away from others . Especially with the dogs.

I think they are just ignorant sods he nosed in so his door was facing his friends and so they could sit outside jabbering half the night. The dogs left to roam around off the lead it's not just my dogs it's bothering the Spanish van opposite also has a small dog it keeps going over to.

So now I've to either keep dogs in the van or move somewhere else...cause of the selfish French man.

I really want to go over to him and point out his selfishness but as usual I won't because I prefer to avoid the confrontation so I'll just moan about him here lol.

Loads of cars and trailers with jetskis turning up now so can't move the van over till later.

Off out for a walk now anyway ....if he's there when I come back I'm sticking 5 fingered death punch on and getting the beer out ....maybe pee against his van a few times

I find the annoyance factor too much to ignore... if it happens to us we move straight away.
I’d park in between there vans , that would sort it right out lol
Thankfully the noise from the jet ski grand prix that's happening on the beach seems to have scared them away .....came back from our walk and they've gone.

Got cars parked either side of me now so that will keep away any motorhuggers:D

The jet skis look great fun

Interesting conversations

Yesterday while getting my haircut I was chatting with the barber who was originally from Liverpool, I was saying I'd quite like to come live in Spain but not sure what to do for work etc and we were talking about folk starting businesses etc ...and how most try some sort of food related business but lots of competition etc.

He was telling me there's a lot of Russian and lithuanian guys own businesses here in nerja and use it for money laundering their drug money ....he was saying they own a few cork shops etc and an Irish bar of all things lol
He said you know they have no connection to Ireland when they dont even know when st Patrick's day is ha ha ha....I guess it would explain how they survive as these tourist tat shops never seem to sell much and he was saying the rent on the shops there are €3000 A month.

So anyway

Remember yesterday I was saying about the 2 German families parked here and how they were playing guitar harmonica and singing etc .....well I was talking with them this morning on my way for a walk

I was saying I enjoyed their music and thought they were good ....they've been staying here for weeks and get this they have been playing gigs in one of the Irish bars lol ....they sing and play all the Irish folk songs they were doing yesterday ....so they practice during the day ....

So the Irish bars are owned by Russians, lithuanians etc and the Irish music is played by Germans ha ha ha
