Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

Any good spots to stop for a look around Marbella Tam? I'm not seeing an awful lot on Park4night or camper contact.

Seem to remember you were there on last years trip.

I parked outside marbella as there was nothing in the town itself

Can't say I've seen it lol . But policia local has been in every hour or so and Guardia civil twice. Never even gave me a second glance.
All the beach bars etc are closed. Maybe 4 or 5 vans here spread around the park
Normal round blue/red no waiting sign with motorhome graphic on or under it. Partly Hiden by trees we didn't seen them until our 2nd night.:)

We found that ended up in the road outside our friends apartment, it was ok as it was a private road and less than ½ doz apartments in use out of season.

Oh I forgot...if you happen to go to port banus take your Visa card

Most expensive half pint of beer I've ever drank .....€5

So after our morning walk we left motril as been there done that last year and we headed to nerja.

Now last year I tried to find a parking spot here that was down on the beach. The satnav gave me a right old run around and I ended up having to do a 50 point turn in franky drawing quite a crowd and was quite embarrassing so I left.

Toby being a bit shorter and narrower with more ground clearance I thought I'd have another go and I found the place typically it was less than 500 yards from where I turned around with franky last year but hey ho.

So I've had a wee walk along The beach to town but not explored it much yet.
Took dogs back to van and having a sandwich before I go back for a look around.
I'm gonna leave the pups in Toby and they can have a wee sleep and I'll take bike.
I want to see if I can find sandals and a barbers.

Looks a nice town so think I'll stay a few days

A few pics from today and where I've parked up.

Been coming here 19 years. I part own a place so been down in motor homes, motorbikes, cars and even aeroplanes. It used to be totally unspoiled but just lately seems to be loads of building going on, still see little old ladies sat in their doorways though. Not so many English tourists, nearly all live/work here, lots of Scandinavian tourists though.

Is that you sitting on the rainbow steps? Someone is going to pinch your camera if you keep that up

There's two old German vans parked here together 2 couple's maybe late 30's early 40's with 2 young lads the two dad's have guitars the two lads on harmonica and one woman on a tambourine but tapping it and they are brilliant ...one of the guys singing too

Had whiskey in the jar, among many other tunes played so far .....young lads are great on the harmonicas

I've also got a French mad now cuddled up to my passenger side .....loads of space no idea why he has to be so bloody close

They have been hoovering and banging rugs and carpets since they arrived an hour ago . They have a very loud and hairy German shepard that keeps barking and setting off jade.

Motorhoming could be so pleasant without the French :p

Must be my aftershave .....I just hope he doesn't complain when my music goes on while I'm cooking.

I park away from everyone for a reason

We liked Nerja very much. Unfortunately we were staying on a site which came highly recommended by some friends in a banana and avocado plantation and which was ridiculously expensive given the facilities and the pitch sizes - 25 euros per night in December (Tam, don't have a heart attack!). You even had to pay for the avocados and bananas. However, we will visit Nerja again because we loved the town and probably head for where Tam stayed.

€25 a night....jees I'm having palpitations.

This spot isn't the prettiest ...It's just a field but it's a suntrap and literally 20 yards from the beach and a km walk to centre of town so it's not bad. And there's a petrol station 2km away I used last year that has free dump and fill and a motor home carwash which I'll use when I leave.

I've not decided for sure yet but I'll likely stay here at least till Monday maybe Wednesday:)

re the frenchie... was the van with the sat dish up there before he parked up? If they were then you would have thought Pierre would have had the decency to split the difference at least.

That is just very odd - why would you park so close to someone when there is so much space?
