Personally I think it would be a shame if Tam split his thread but that is just my opinion ultimately that decision (if it comes to it ) would be his.

The take 2 is jade and milo that's why it was called that they will always be part of the journey. I only got milo today that's why he's featured lots. That and the fact where I am just now to get him I posted pics of to death last year. Normal service will resume in a day or two.

100% first op on the bowel was a bit worrying but she recovered very quick it was nearly two years ago.

There are new gates along the canal road now. I THINK you'll be able to get to where you parked last year if you arrive from the Alhama/Librilla motorway end.

Oh, now you mention it ! Didn't tell me last week when I was at the walks the other end, Muela(?) & thought " I know I'll go home along the canal up to reservoir & out on to autovia at Primafrio"
Ok until I got to where the canal is above ground.
What lunatic puts a 'no through road' sign 3m from the new gates?? Why couldn't it be back at the start.
Tam never came down from the other end last year like I did as he was too big to get over the first bridge I believe?

Being serious I was wondering why they have done it because up at the dam above Lorca.,Puentes, they have fitted an electric gate on one side & a pair of gates on the other ,so preventing access at times across the actual dam itself. The electric gate also prevents access to the old lower tourist area & the other higher multiple picnic areas. These were put in whilst I was away over the summer & I assumed it was something to do with the weekend antics of the youngsters up there ?

They haven't worked that out yet but jade has given a couple of warning growls at him
But generally they are getting on fine.

Walking is a challenge as he doesn't like to walk beside you and is at my heels and jade dances about like an ass.


I've still not managed to get him to pee yet which is a pain.
Means I'm either going to wake up to an accident or I'll be up at 4am taking him for a pee lol

Aye I approached from the south side last time but I'll go in from the top end this time.

Angela and her pal are meeting me here tomorrow so they can visit this monestary , Jesus and the estrecho before going to reservoir

Don't approach from Alhama to Pliego road side!!! Approach from the motorway at Primafria.

I don't normally do this ... but there is an old airfield in La Muela (Alhama to Pliego road side) up the main track. Level and (should be) quiet. Don't advertise it normally because dont want to upset the rangers.

Check it out on Google. I haven't got time now, I've got to go out in 5 minutes!

I'm not a dog person particularly but this is Tam's thread and his journey so his dogs are part of it. It's not his job to write separate threads for the convenience of people whose tastes differ, that's just madness.

I love looking at the photos of his trips and hearing his tales, my life is no longer so busy that I feel the time spent on the bits that interest me less is wasted. I might learn something. I certainly learn a bit about my fellow funsters interests and their worries.

How's your mum doing

She's doing great carol, .she now only has one nurse going in at night to help her up the stairs but she's going to cancel that now as feels she doesn't need it. Especially as they often go in at 7.30 or 8pm which is far too early lol.

He finally peed this morning, got up and walked them round the carpark jade peed and milo peed on top of it lol

No messes or puddles last night thankfully

Had a lousy sleep though as milo decided right next to my face was most comfortable and every time I moved he woke up scurried about excited then lay back down right on my face again lol

Its just aswell he doesn't cast hair

Well we had a walk round the grounds of the monestary ...Busy place this year ...when I've been here before it was dead ...they've finished the works they were doing in the grounds and it's nice to see the fountains and Waterfalls working.

If you've never been I reccomend a visit. Couldn't go inside just now as I had the dogs with me obviously but I'll try and go in and grab a pic or two later when Angela gets here. Had milo in training going up and down stairs as he's a lazy wee porker and I think he's got too used to being carried ....He did well though so he should manage the motorhome step soon.

They've now had a wrestle around the motorhome with lots of growling licking ear biting , jade trying to hump milo..Milo trying to bury himself down the back of the cushions and now crashed out..
