Well we had a walk round the grounds of the monestary ...Busy place this year ...when I've been here before it was dead ...they've finished the works they were doing in the grounds and it's nice to see the fountains and Waterfalls working.

If you've never been I reccomend a visit. Couldn't go inside just now as I had the dogs with me obviously but I'll try and go in and grab a pic or two later when Angela gets here. Had milo in training going up and down stairs as he's a lazy wee porker and I think he's got too used to being carried ....He did well though so he should manage the motorhome step soon.

They've now had a wrestle around the motorhome with lots of growling licking ear biting , jade trying to hump milo..Milo trying to bury himself down the back of the cushions and now crashed out..

Is the bar restaurant open ?

Angela and her pal are meeting me here tomorrow so they can visit this monestary , Jesus and the estrecho before going to reservoir

Be aware that there is .or always used to be , a Sunday market there around the outside. Not all that big though.

Don't approach from Alhama to Pliego road side!!! Approach from the motorway at Primafria.

That road is terrible from alhama up to the Muela point. Needed complete resurfacing 17 years ago. Trouble is there is no alternative if shut,without driving miles.

I love the photo of them both together a few pages back. Jade really looks like she's smiling.
Milo is perhaps walking at your heels has she has had some training to do that. It's a good thing really. Blue was taught to do it unless I gave the command "Go Play" then he would venture off, but its very handy to recall them back when needed.

Milo will need lots of cuddles to settle in but so will Jade since she's now having to share you.

This is going to be fun watching how the 3 of you get along now...Hopefully well!

100% first op on the bowel was a bit worrying but she recovered very quick it was nearly two years ago.

She is a typical Springer.

Luckily not motorhome this time. It was a walk in local woods and travelled by car. A rub down with old towels necessary He'd find a ditch in a desert

Had no internet signal since yesterday hence the radio silence .
Stayed at the picnic area in montrisol last night and visited the estrecho this morning.
Jade and milo getting on fantastic they even cuddle up together at times , I have a great pic of jade cuddling him on.my tablet I'll post up later.
Milo can also now navigate the step In to Toby

Attempted to get up to the blue lagoon but gates have been chained and padlocked now on all the access routes so I've found a fairly level parking spot in the woods about 2.5 miles from the reservoir so going to have a walk along there.

Well that was quite a walk ....Had to carry milo a lot of it as he's only little so that made it harder.
He enjoyed it though ....spoilt rotten

Jade was enjoying running through the water along the canals so she soaking ...just got back to van they are both sleeping and I'm tempted to join them.

Have to say I was surprised at milo bevause the drive from the estrecho to here was the bumpiest ever with lots of twists and turns and he wasn't sick. Might be lucky with him as jade was sick the first few days driving.

It's weird how photos can be deceiving, some of the milo actually looks bigger than jade but hes half her size , probably,y the size of a small, Yorkshire terrier

Hes chubby but I'm not surprised he eats like a horse...he scoffs his in seconds and tries to pinch jades....he even tries to pinch mine

wolfing the food down is definitely a boy dog thing my old collie could eat it as it came out of the tin

Often where multiple dogs feed together they get in to the habit of gulping the food as quickly as possible, in case it gets nicked from them (whether it's by their litter mates or other occupants of the kennel run.
Dogs feeding alone don't have that urgency and will quite often not "clear -up" and will come back to it later.
There is nothing as good as a bit of company to cure picky feeders and stimulate the appetite.
