I know the feeling. .these days I've to wolf my dinner down before milo tries to steal it...He's got no fear now like he stands on jade and everything to try and get to me if I've any food biscuits even a bloody orange lol ...He's worse than jade lolOften where multiple dogs feed together they get in to the habit of gulping the food as quickly as possible, in case it gets nicked from them (whether it's by their litter mates or other occupants of the kennel run.
Dogs feeding alone don't have that urgency and will quite often not "clear -up" and will come back to it later.
There is nothing as good as a bit of company to cure picky feeders and stimulate the appetite.
